alternate fuel not workable,

Ordered new wick for my Lampe Berge from Amazon. It came quickly and fit perfectly like the original that came with the Lampe. The Lampe did a great job of clearing cigar smoke from my den, but at half of a $15 bottle of special fuel per smoke it was a bit pricey. After reading several articles online I tried 91% isopropal alcohol (it clogged up my original burner) and Marine lantern alcohol fuel (it clogged up this new burner). With warm weather now here I am back outside. I will probability order another wick next fall and some genuine Lampe Berge fuel.
