Problem solved
The order had been damaged in shipping, and upon hearing of the problem, Bic quickly sent new product to replace the unusable damaged product. I am very happy with the product and the company for standing behind the product. I would use them again, and would tell my friends to use them.

Blue Horror Show
Will not buy this product again...ever! THEY'RE BLUE WITH BLACK PRINTING ALL OVER THEM!!! While they are functional, and fit somewhat nicely (I said somewhat) on my lampstands, they are asthetically an industrial looking horror show! Anybody ever heard of basic black? No, I guess not.

Yes, I know, this is supposed to go inside of a TIKI torch that is then thrust into the ground. Trouble is that the ground at many campsites isn't all that accommodating -- sometimes it's as hard as rock. Have used the Lamplight TIKI by placing it inside of a metal one pound coffee can and then just setting it on a picnic table, or even the ground. Of course you'll want to consider safety when doing this, but it works for me.
