I've been using this motion detector/alarm for several weeks now, and overall I am quite pleased. It basically works as advertised -- it detects motion within about a 20 to 25' radius and emits a loud (110 dB), high-pitched alarm after 10 seconds.

Here are the pros and cons as I see them.

Pros
----
1) Fully wireless and battery-operated.
2) No keypad or codes to punch in; unit is operated only by remote control. This allows unit to be mounted high up on a wall, out of reach.
3) When mounted on a wall, can be panned/tilted in order to get ideal coverage for the room(s) being monitored.
4) Loud enough to easily be heard throughout house and to startle any intruder.
5) Remote control signal is strong, can operate the unit from 30' away (with fresh batteries).
6) Inexpensive.

Cons
----
1) Motion detection can be inconsistent. Very slow motion is usually not detected.
2) Emits a loud beep (just one) when motion is first detected. I would prefer no beep at all, so as not to let any intruders know the alarm is about to sound. (NOTE: Contrary to another review, there are not multiple warning beeps.)
3) It appears that the alarm sometimes goes off while I am away during the day, because upon returning home the unit's green light is blinking slowly, indicating the alarm has been triggered. I am unsure what might be causing this, but in my situation this is not a major problem since I don't arm the unit when I am at home.

Overall, this is a good value for those looking for a wireless, remote-operated motion alarm. I would not recommend this unit for monitoring during the night while sleeping (due to the 3rd point listed under Cons, above). I'm also not sure if this would be a good fit for situations involving indoor pets. There is no "pet filter", although it might be possible to tilt the unit more upward away from the floor to prevent false alarms due to pet movements.

I love the idea of this little motion alarm, but found the alarm function unreliable. It couldn't detect my motion, but would go off for unknown reasons. Later found out that it can often go off with breeze or flourescent lights.I really liked this item and wanted it to work for me, but after having replacement behave in the same manner, I had to give it a vote of "no confidence". I actually contacted the manufacturer of this product to help me trouble shoot. This company has an outstanding customer service department if "Mike" is typical. He was prompt, understanding and used easy-to-understand language while helping me trouble-shoot. Because of his service, I would try another product from this company without hesitation!

Unit works very good, sometimes goes off due to roadrunners or reflected headlights from street but these are small details that allow me to leave a 1500sq ft patio for the weekend and have my leather furniture, TV, tables and outdoor kitchen not stolen or tampered with. I also have a security light over the same area, so with a loud alarm and light the area is well protected from theves.
