I received my shipment on time and I received a prompt response when I submitted a question about receiving the incorrect item, however, I was unhappy with the response.

On product specifications, for the red pen, the ink color specifically states red (I just checked again). I emailed them to state that I had instead received blue ink with my red pen. Their response was that the default color is black and so it was not their fault.

I ordered 4 pens; a blue, a red and 2 black. If the default ink color is black, then why did I receive blue ink with my blue pen instead of the "black default"???

I said I would be willing to work with them since the product was shipped from Germany and I live in the US, but they said it was moot issue as the "default ink color is black", and it was not their fault.

I think I was most disappointed by them at least not admitting to their mistake. This cartridge is only 5.00US, but it's the principle.

I have bought this model a few times over and over. I am a pen fanatic and I sign documents and cheques pretty often. They write extremely smoothly and are well designed. The ONLY complaint I have is that sometimes the ink refils are dry. This may be because the particular supplier has slow inventory. Whenever I have had a problem they have replaced the product in quick time so overall its a great buy.

The pen body itself is nice -- nice shape, good quality ABS housing and brass wire clip. The rollerball cartridge is only as good as the basic rollerballs you can get from office or department stores, though. It has a medium point which is kind of fat, and leads to 'gloppy' writing occasionally, as buildup occurs on the tip and is then released on the paper. For being a fancy pen, I was hoping for better. I like my Acme rollerball (that looks like a #2 pencil) better -- it has a fine point and doesn't make globs of ink. ACME Studios #2 Retractable Rollerball Pen and Mechanical Pencil Set (PACME2SET)

I love the Lamy pens but this line really is very charming. It has a modern design and sophisticated lines. This color is very pretty, seems made of lacquer, the same thing in Italian. Excellent.

This is an outstanding pen that writes very smoothly and feels comfortable in the hand. The only thing that I didn't like was that the pen writes quite a thick line, more like a gel pen than a ballpoint. If that doesn't bother you, than I see no reason not to get this pen.

Not the most expensive but this is my 3rd now and I swear by them. They are solid, smooth, and tough.

That is where the love affair breaks down. The quality of the ABS casing is nice, along with the clip but the pen cartridge is not much to write home about. I use this pen in the office mostly, as it doesn't stay closed as securely as I would prefer. I am a professional, as I carry a laptop bag and keep my office supplies well organized, etc. The deal breaker is that the pen tip skips as it writes, which is completely random and doesn't appear to be based upon the kind of paper being used, etc. I have also purchased 4 pen refills [all originals from the manufacturer], and two of them perform the same way. It is obviously not a well designed rollerball, perhaps the ballpoint is better.

I usually keep a second sheet or two of paper behind anything that I am writing on just to make sure that the pen I am using can flow as nicely as possible, but it just doesn't make a difference with this pen. I am not a pen collector, I actually want to use the pens that I purchase, I see no use in having something sitting in a drawer just to look good a few times a year when I open it.

I also own a Pilot Ageless Pen, which writes very well. I will just stick with that, and give this one to anyone that wants a mediocre pen that looks better than average.

It's definitely a different pen, but so far, I like it a lot. I actually have two, so I'm getting used to the feel compared to other pens I've used. The only thing I'd prefer is a little finer point, which I may try to find with an ink refill.

Overall, for sure a pen I'd recommend for regular use.
