Bought 6 of these about 6-7 months ago for my 3-year-old son and his little neighborhood buddies. They LOVE them, and not one has broken or had any problems! Keeps the kids occupied while the parents do yard work and they have a ball helping out. Very very durable and loads of fun! Highly recommend!JULY 2008 UPDATE: A year and a half later, these fun little weed whackers are still working and still enjoyed by the kids. Durable toy, that's for sure.

Bought this for my 15 month old grandson mainly because it was cheap. The most I expected was that it would hold his attention for 5 minutes at a time (we babysit). Much to my surprise, he loved it from the get go. I think it's the combination of flashing lights and vibration from the blade turning that makes it fun for him. It's very durable and also built with kid safety in mind.

I purchased this as a gift for my 4 yr old niece and while she asked for it and loved the idea of being able to "pretend" to do yard work beside her dad, it broke in a relatively short period of time. I don't think it's built with rough and tough tykes in mind. But for the $10 it entertained her for a few days.
