Well, I'm not very happy about this product. I spent 100 dollars on it, to then find out that I had to spend another 40 on the battery and charger. After getting it charged, we tried it outside. The plane came down and hit the side walk chipping the very soft styrofoam that it is make out of. We then took it to the school field and lost total control and it just kept going and going. Well after 2 days of looking for it, I guess its gone! What a waste of money and the dissappointment that my 10 year old had to go through!!! No more of MGA's for us! Might have to put a stop to my daughters collection of Bratz becauase of this. My advice , DO NOT BUY THIS TOY!!!!!!! I would not have even giving it a 1 rating, but I had to in order to make this post , I would have givin it a 0

We were a little skeptical about an RC car and plane in one package. We thought it would be junk. However, we were pleasantly surprised. On Christmas Day, our 7 year old was chomping at the bit to try out his new toy. After a few hours, we couldn't take it anymore. Against our better judgement, and the instructions in the manual, we set off for the school yard during a snow flurry to fly our Land/Air RC. Although the car did not work well in the snow, the plane flew extremely well. After 1 attempt our 7-year old was able to master the controls. The plane is also very durable. We have managed to get it stuck at least half a dozen times in trees and have had to throw baseballs at the plane to get it down. No damage has been done to the plane.
Regarding the issue about the extra battery pack, it has been our experience that this is a requirement of most R/C vehicles. After purchasing the vehicle, we simply removed the instruction manual to review the requirements. We were well prepared for Christmas morning.
This toy is a lot of fun and we recommend it!

The plane never worked because it kept dive bombing (it was REALLY bad balanced)and didn't have enough power; but the car was great because I have a really long driveway. The turbo feature was really cool but it made the battery time about half as long. IN A NUTSHELL, DON'T GET THIS IF YOU HAVE AAANNNYYY WANT TO FLY THE PLANE BECUSE IT DOESN'T WORK!!

I wish I had read the first and only review prior to buying this item because everything they said was accurate. Except they left out a few things. The plane is not just styrofoam, but cheap looking styrofoam and it comes without the decals applied. You have to apply them yourself. Besides the optional and expensive battery pack, you have to buy additional batteries as well. There are better and way more reasonable choices. I wish I had talked my grandson out of wanting this so badly.

The FOAM plane never worked, I always thought it wouldn't work because it didn't have enough power and the weight was terribly balanced because the two engines were in the front.Except that the engine coverings were plastic and the "cockpit" was plastic along with the battery cover(the battery does not come out, the car charges its tiny battery)in a nutshell, the plane never worked. But I had a blast with the car. I have a really long driveway so I could use the turbo and BOY did it fly! BUUUTTT the car still went really fast without the turbo. I had it for about a year before I went to my grandparents' house and tried running it up an inclimb and it got up and just quit.

I rated this toy so poorly all because the plane is impossible to fly.Although Im no plane enthusiast,I at least know it should work!the car is ok but is bad on anything but smooth surfaces.tThe turbo is a nice feature, but it dosen't help this thing.

i got one last year and it was worth it,then , about 3 months ago i tried driving it up a hill and it broke! it is a lot of fun, but your child will be dissapointed when he finds out that the plane is immpossible to keep from dive bombing ,and it breaks after about 8 month of regular use.
great fun, but not completely worth the money.

Bought this for my 7 year old kid... Big dissapointment, it is techically impossible to fly the airplane. Tried every which way.

I loved the plane, but the car never worked.Too bad I lost the receipt.I CAN'T RETURN IT!!!!!!!!!!! But the plane's not bad, it's good.

This for a lack of any better words is a waste of money and will only frustrate a child. Even the adults in my house could not operate this, there also seems to be a problem with the battery compartment (ease of use) and the length of charge. We returned the 9V twice thinking that was the problem. My son actually started to use this styrofoam "plane" as he would a paper plane with his hands as the force/launcher. I have finally convinced him "Santa" might take it back.
