That warning aside, the program offers colorful graphics and a nice challenge range, although testers wished for more activities. There's a spelling game where kids help the Land Before Time characters cross a river by matching letters to spell words. There's also a dot to dot activity, a maze game, a memory game and a fish feeding activity that helps children split the keyboard into left and right hand areas. Would we buy the program? Only for a four-year-old true-blue Land Before Time fan.

The icons and other clickables are all extra-large to make mouse skills easier for little hands, and there's adjustable difficulty levels for longer playtime. One game creates a new twist on a simplified connect-the-dot page: the picture is already visible, but it becomes animated when all the dots are joined. The goofy movements and songs are a great reward for a proud toddler.
If your child prefers building games, there's a great one that involves spelling short words to construct a bridge across a hot lava bed. Better hurry to get everybody safely across! With such familiar characters and interesting activities, small fry are sure to enjoy these easy-to-master activities and come clamoring back for more computer time. --Jill Lightner

Ok, but my impression is that the lack of songs & limited activies tends to place this software in the mediocre camp. On the plus side: One activity allows the child to simply use the left or right side of the key board to play. Instructions or dialog can be skipped with a simple click of the mouse. The graphics are ok. Has up to 3 different levels. On the negative side: No songs! This is kind of lame for toddler (2-4) software. The clickable icons are also to small for some childern. As with almost all toddler software, childern are forced to do a lot of mouse clicking on small icons to play. I am only aware of "Reader Rabbits Toddler", having the foresight to eliminate this clicking problem. Some of the activites were too quickly mastered. This software also has a few problems running with a touchscreen.
