My 5 year old nephew absolutely loves this series of movies and episodes. He watches them over and over again. Each movie and episode has a very positive message. Issues such as sharing, friendship, lying, and family are covered in an entertaining way. Your kids will love these and you will love them for their positive messages.

What can I say the smile and the full attention that my nephew pays when watching this cartoon, its priceless.

I would recommend all of the land before time movies.The only place I could find them is at Amazon.com.

I HAVE THE WHOLE SET AND I WANTED TO ADD WHAT I DIDN'T HAVE ALL KIDS SHOULD HAVE A SET OF THIS. GREAT FOR KIDS.

We first borrowed this dvd from the library, and when my son was so upset at taking it back, (something new) we decided to purchase it for a Christmas gift. It is very entertaining and full of adventures, while making great points about friendship and other life lessons. I like that it has 4 episodes on the dvd. This keeps him happy because he gets to watch his movie, and me happy because he isn't sitting in front of the TV for hours.

My two biggest problems with this movie are the scary bad-guy character and the language.
I got this for my 2 year old. He's sensitive and if he sees a cartoon or a person on TV fall down, he gets all upset. So imagine him watching this and seeing the big, scary, bloody-eyed (that's what it looks like) bad guy constantly trying to kill and eat the "kid" dinosaurs! It's just too much for him.

My other issue is the language. It makes me nuts, and I fear it will set my son back. Instead of rain they say "sky water" and instead of "leaf" they say "tree star", and on and on. If you know the words "tree" and "star" then you would certainly know "leaf". Same for the others. I want my son's vocabulary to grow, not regress. He repeats new things he hears and they become part of his little lexicon.

I try not to let my son watch this one. Maybe when he's older...but that language issue will still make me nuts!
