Absolutely Wonderful Movie,
By
This review is from: The Land Before Time X - The Great Longneck Migration (DVD)
I have collected all of the DVD's in this series and when this new one came out i pre-ordered it and recieved it today. By far this the one of the best. Little foot finally finds his long lost father(who was looking for him all this time) he never knew he had he gets a father and also a adopted brother Shorty, and has to make a decision to leave his friends and grandparents to be with his father. This was a very sad part of the movie. The song at the end of the movie that Littlefoot's friends Ducky, Cera, Petrie and of course Spike sing Bestest of Friends is so sad, I actually almost cried. This movie really shows true friendship. I highly recommend it to old and young.

Wholesome fun for kids and a lesson for parents!,

Like all the movies in this series, The Great Longneck Migration is another fine installment. Of couse, none of the sequels could equal the first theatrical release, but all of them have been very enjoyable for my two sons and have provided important lessons for me and my wife as we try to be as good at parenting as Littlefoot's grandparents. One reviewer didn't like the fact that both Littlefoot's long lost father and his grandparents allowed Littlefoot to decide with whom he would live. In real life, of course, they would have fought over his custody in court and perhaps even outside of it for months or years with Littlefoot having to split time between them with no real home. If only so-called adults could act as mature and loving as fictional dinosaurs in doing what made the child happy. This movie, like all the others in the series, teaches the real meaning of friendship and love while being immensely entertaining. The nitpicking comlaints one reviewer had about voices and whatever went totally unnoticed in our household despite repeated viewings. I highly recommend it but more importantly, my boys loved it.

I think that there are some reviews on here that are looking at the movie way to seriously. It is a kids film. There is nothing wrong with this film at all. It is my opinion that the creators had the right idea of allowing Little Foot live with who he wanted to live with...after all the "grandparents" raised this little guy since he was real young...most people would not go and live with someone they just met a day or two ago...person or dinosaur. This is a great film for everyone regardless...and for those that felt this was condecending and the like need to get a life!

Ahhh yes, the Land Before Time saga will never seem to cease. But I have to admit, this latest movie had me and my sis clapping, singing, and jumping along with Littlefoot and his friends!! In The Land Before Time:The Great Longneck Migration, longnecks all around the world (including Littlefoot and his grandparents) are having similar "sleep-stories". So they set off to supposedly "save the world". Alas, it turns out to be a solar eclipse, which was a beautiful scene in my opinion. Our hero finally finds his father, Bron (who sounds alot like HAL the computer in "2001:A Space Odysey"). Overall, it's a very heart-warming, sweet little story. And don't worry, no dinosaurs where harmed in the making of this video.

The storyline of this video is wonderful. Our 3-year-old grandson loves it. It involves many different 'life' realities; friendships, grandparent adoptions, problem solving and much, much more! We see these things through the happenings of animated talking dinosaurs and my grandson loves dinosaurs!

How could you, Don; Stephen? HOW could you slaughter something so beautiful as the first Land Before Time? I, alike many, own the original on DVD. It was honestly the only one I would buy regardless of the many chapters that surrounded me from all sides, all because they are painful to watch. Why are they painful? SONGS.EVERY.THREE.SECONDS. I honestly cannot stand it and as far as the chapters go, I watched up until The Mysterious Island before I finally lost my faith - but not my love. Fully aware that the rest are meant for children to aide them to grow and to share and to cherish life with every waking morning but why did they slaughter each and every individual character? Sharp-tooth was my ultimate favorite until suddenly one day: "Lets Hug the Carnivore! - Don't Worry, He's Friendly!" I almost fainted, not with relief but shock. He (in speaking of the rex) had always been viewed as an evil and somehow, suddenly, he's friendly!? Someone, aside pointing the obvious of 'its for children!' please explain this... I am in dire need. But aside the point of how the series is dying, I want to both buy this and at the same time - ignore it. A) When I was a child, I always wondered about Little foot's father. What happened to him? Was he killed, did he abandon his mate? WHAT!? Buying this, may answer my questions but I at the same time, do not want to be disappointed. B) Reasons stated above of its obnoxious stature that it had somehow fell victim to.

A Great Movie,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: The Land Before Time X - The Great Longneck Migration (DVD)
Dictated to his father:The first episode of Land Before Time (which isn't really an episode at all because they didn't know they'd make episodes) was great. Episode 10 is as good as the first uno (that's episode one in Spanish). It was as great as the Secret of Saurus Rock. I liked the solar eclipse, when the moon went in front of the sun and the dinosaurs thought that the sun was going to fall. In fact, they thought they saved the world, which wasn't really true because if the sun did really fall everything would have melted into a giant ball of gas and then a black hole and then eventually another star. Giant balls of gas can melt anything. Littefoot meets his father when they find a giant crater, which some watchers may believe is Crater Lake in Oregon - which is a volcano that collapsed and got flooded! I hope that you also enjoy the movie. Goodbye.

Good ending to series,
A Kid's Review

I thought this was a good ending to the LBT series. it had good animation, and beautiful songs there were just 2 things that really bugged me. 1) Littlefoot's voice ok, I know it's hard to find 10 different people with the exact same voice, but at times I find this one a little bit...um...interesting. Like when Sue helped littlefoot to the top of the tree, and he says "I'm almost thre, Grandpa! I'm almost there!" his voice was...um...yeah 2) ok, if all the longnecks in the free world got this "feeling" telling them to walk 1000s of miles to a giant hole, i'd think that they would ACTUALLY be saving the world, not just stretching their necks and watching a solar eclipse. that was just kind of weird. besides those 2 things, itwas another wonderful LBT movie.
