Eleven year old Anna is dreading spending her summer vacation on her grandma s old rundown farm, until one day she discovers a ladder of light streaming down to earth from a cloud. Anna just has to find out what is at the top but as she starts to climb the ladder it starts to shake. She holds on for dear life as the ladder is whisked up into the clouds. Anna now finds herself in the mysterious Land Beyond the Clouds...with no way of getting back home. She is soon joined by Tedith, an orange bear that use to be a stuffed toy. Together, the unlikely twosome, encounter strange and amusing characters in the most fascinating and frightening of situations. Anna learns that the key to getting home lies within the Crystal Palace. She knows it is located on one of the many realms they must transverse, but she has no idea how to find it. Much to Anna s horror, she also discovers that she has a powerful foe whose mission it is to keep her from returning home. Each obstacle Anna overcomes propels her one step closer to the Crystal Palace and her return home. Or do they? The Land Beyond the Clouds is an amazing adventure of spirit and courage against the forces of doubt and negativity.

Destined to be a Classic,

When I read this story I felt transported back to that place of wonderment, where everything is new and fresh and open. Very few books have the ability to take you to that special place. I think this book is going to become a classic.

This is a wonderful story that captures the imagination and emotions. It's filled with laughter and suspense that creates and environment of wonder and eager anticipation of what might come next. It's going to every teen-ager and young adult I know.

I was given this book as a gift and my five year old daughter and I read it every night as a bedtime story. She would wake up in the morning asking about Anna and what happened next. This was our first non-picture book. I love the story and the lessons as well as wisdom that is so elegantly and simply written.
