4.0 out of 5 stars Good work, but a computer is needed to see everything..., January 15, 2007

This review is from: Land of Confusion (Audio CD)
A few months back my local FM rock station played Disturbed's version of "Land of Confusion". I thought it was one of the better covers I've heard over the years; many bands do them with wildly varying results. It often boils down to how competent and how self-assured the cover band is. Since I have both heard the original Genesis version of "Land of Confusion" and seen the original video I was curious what Disturbed's video would look like. Disturbed's video was similar to Genesis' only in its relating to the period in which it was made; otherwise it's a much angrier, darker video than the original. Also, unlike the original puppet nightmare sequence Disturbed's uses traditional animation with much more violence. In my view, it's one of the better covers in recent memory. The other thing to be aware of is that a computer might be needed to play the video; my home DVD player registers it as a CD and to view the video content I have to use my computer. Still, even knowing what I know, if I had it to do over I'd buy this disc again.

This band has never disappointed. I've played it over and over and over and not even one song has gotten old.
