5.0 out of 5 stars Worth Buying for "Ocean Sky" Alone!
I have had a lot of enjoyment from this CD. The ten tracks that make up "Land of Forever" produce nearly an hour of relaxing music.

Many different instruments are used, and one has to admire the flawless production that has gone into the making of this CD. Pamela and Randy Copus are clearly highly skilled musicians, and it is not difficult to see why they are...

3.0 out of 5 stars Expressive, flowing, and not for everyone
The music is beautifully crafted...but some cuts become too repetitious in the same melody being continually played. The soft vocal backgrounds are a plus. If you are looking for music that you can sit on the beach and dream...this is it. It also fits nicely as background music for documentary videos. But again, this is not Enya or Yanni or John Tesh. It is soft...

I have had a lot of enjoyment from this CD. The ten tracks that make up "Land of Forever" produce nearly an hour of relaxing music.

Many different instruments are used, and one has to admire the flawless production that has gone into the making of this CD. Pamela and Randy Copus are clearly highly skilled musicians, and it is not difficult to see why they are the best-selling musicians on the highly-respected Real Music label.

This CD will appeal to anyone who enjoys relaxing music that soothes away one's troubles.

The final track, Ocean Sky, is one of my all-time favourite pieces of music. The combination of flute and piano is simply beautiful. Upon listening, I can't help but think this would make the perfect soundtrack for a suitable film. I am also left wishing that 2002 would produce more piano tracks; their beauty shines through oh so clearly when it is the dominant instrument and not cluttered amongst all manner of other instruments.

Beautifully produced, this is my favourite 2002 album. I have to be in a particular mood to listen to it, but when I do, it is always an enjoyable experience.

Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Land of Forever is Magical/Mystical, March 2, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Land of Forever (Audio CD)
I found Land of Forever to be truly magical. Everytime I hear the music, I am transported to that mystical, magical place of Tir Na Noc. The music flows so beautifully that it washes away stress and leaves you feeling at peace. I have never found another CD that takes me on the same magical journey.

I listen to the CD whenever possible. It is truly great relaxation therapy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gotta relax? This is the CD for you!, September 17, 2005

My husband first heard of this group on the smooth jazz station here at home. Everyone got a copy of this album for Christmas that year.

I've never heard such relaxing music. "Falling into Time" is my favorite, and puts me into such a state of calm that I feel like I'm being hypnotized. If you are under a lot of stress, or just enjoy beautiful music, I highly recommend this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect for the classroom, May 28, 2002

As a teacher, I am always looking for music that I can play while my students work on assignments or projects. I constantly get positive comments from students about this album, and this is from my engineering students!

It has always seemed that students do better work when they have "intelligent" music playing. And this is simply that - intelligent music.

Tracks 8 and 10 still give me chills, and I"ve owned this CD for over 2 years.

This might be 2002's best CD, and I own 5 of them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't be Dissuaded, March 17, 2002

I first heard 2002 -this CD- while browsing in a shop on the mall. The music was incredibly beautiful and I knew that I had to have the CD. I, too, experienced the feeling that you see expressed in other opinions - a feeling of tranquility or profound relaxation, of experiencing Heaven on Earth, just the sense of enjoying this incredible music...

I play 2002 music (my favorite cuts from 4 CDs squeezed on to two 80-minute CD's) regularly in the car. I especially like this music when I have a friend in the car and want (beautiful) background music for conversation. I don't play this continuously -- realistically, is there ANY CD where you would remove the "Open" button from the player? I don't think so. I rotate through several CDs by various artists. Still, when I put one of the 2002 CD's back in, I am struck by the beauty of the music all over again.

If, within the past year, you found music that was "too perfect," then you're exempt from owning this CD. On the other hand, if you're like me & could use more "too perfect" music in your life, then don't be afraid to buy this CD.

I couldn't believe the 'negative' reviews I saw for this CD...did any of you people actually listen to this cd?! There's so much negativity, hate and other garbage being poured out onto cd's these days, it's a shame there aren't more artists like 2002. I'm a fan of Yanni and Enya as well...so don't compare them all together! Respect each artist alone, not clumping them together into one genre. Just as each of us are unique and offer something one of a kind to mankind, see the music artists that way as well. I love this CD, it melts away the disappointments, frustrations, and all the general upsets of the day in a wonderful way. THis cd is very peaceful and relaxing, I highly recommend it to anyone with an open mind and an open ear. Enjoy! :o) Peace, Dakota

This CD is a must have! If you are not a fan of "2002" you will be after listening to this. The music and arrangements are fantastic. I have all of 2002's CD's and this is my #1 favorite.I am a Massage Therapist and I am always looking for calming, serene well arranged music and "Land of Forever" is absolutely perfect! I have clients commenting on the "beautiful music I have playing( Land of Forever!) OR they specifically ask me to play it. This is wonderful music to play on that long drive home after a hard day a work, while enjoying dinner or after dinner to relax and de-stress.

It is soft peaceful, expressive music closer to something one would expect from an environmental theme.
