Informative, Interesting, and at times Humorous,
By Bradley M Albury (Georgia, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Land of the Pink Pearl (Paperback)
"Land of The Pink Pearl" should be required reading for Bahamian schoolchildren. It is a rare glimpse into a world that no longer exists, yet many sociological aspects mentioned in this book are still recognizable today in The Bahamas. Excellent read, I never felt bogged down by the author's 1800's style of writing.

The Land Of The Pink Pearl,
By Jack Mizell (St. Petersburg, Fl.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Land of the Pink Pearl (Paperback)
This is a very ineresting book and a must read for anyone going to the Bahamas or wanting to learn moreabout life in the late 1800s Bahamas. Mr. Powles takes the reader along on his travels in the islands and gives good discriptions of life of the common people and ther living conditions.
