My family's history,

This review is from: Land of Plenty: Oklahomans in the Cotton Fields of Arizona, 1933-1942 (Hardcover)
I bought and read this to have a better idea of the turmoil's that my parents had as displaced Okies living in Casa Grande and Eloy during the depression. While there are some better moments than others, this chronicles an exceptionally hard time for the country and the area. As for the book itself, it could of done more to engage the reader and a lot was left out, even from the glimpses my parents will tell me, which has never been much. It was more of a time they wish to forget, rather than memorialize.
