About the Author

Martin Hodder has been a Land Rover enthusiast since the early 1960s and has owned a wide assortment of these vehicles, including 88-inch, Ninety turbo and One Ten V8 utilities. Simon Hodder, his son, who will carry out the update for this new edition, is co-owner and joint editor of Land Rover Enthusiast magazine.

Martin Hodder has done an excellent job writing this overall Land Rover book.A good early history, touching all the models including Range Rover. A great chapter on the Land Rover V8 and another good one on choosing a Land Rover for purchase. Photography is very good. I personally would have liked a few more pictures of the older Land Rovers, the Series I's, II's, IIa's. and III's in a more organized and detailed framework, but this is an excellent starter book for the enthusiast.Not too simple and not too technical. A great book.
