Good but lacks items to watch out for when buying used,

Like most of the current books on Land Rover you get a sense of where Land Rovers' roots are and where the company is headed today under the watchful eyes of BMW who bought Rover in 1994. Unlike the books about the Range Rover model of the Land Rover line-up you don't get a true picture of maintence items to watch out if you want to buy a used "Utility" as they are also known.However, since I work as a Land Rover Technician in the US I might lean toward a more rounded technical book then most people. Still, if the reader has an interest about those rugged, square Defenders or Series 3 trucks rolling around them this book goes a long way in explaining what they are all about.

I thought this book had a lot of good general information about the history of the coil sprung Land Rover.
