While I was searchng for some stained glass coloring books I noted this one in particular because it was listed as W.W. Denslow. Denslow was the illustrator for the original Oz books. (Yes, there is more than one title). Finding this collection of original illustrations was a treat! Most L. Frank Baum fans prefer the books with the original illustrations which are very different from the movie images. (To me both the books and the movie are art forms in their own right!) As I have been coloring these pages I have been remembering the times when my two daughters were young and their librarian/father read aloud to them from the Oz books. I especially love the Denslow's images of the cowardly lion.
I am enjoying all of the Dover Stained Glass coloring books I purchased but this is definitely my favorite!

Slightly childish (most likely made for children only). Cute scenes, not from Oz movie.
