This is a comprehensive yet concise and easy to read introduction to the U.S. Public Land Survey other major aspects of land use in America - written by one of America's most respected experts on the subject. Considering what a dry subject it covers, it has a lot of interesting facts.

Mr. Clawson does a good job of covering some historical aspects of land use in the United States. I read the first few paragraphs via google and decided I must buy the book for my library. Every budding Geographer should own this book.
