Editorial Reviews

Review

"Every book I read by BJ Hoff leaves me wanting more and I highly recommend Land of a Thousand Dreams. Her mastery for creating vivid characters coupled with an engrossing story makes her one of today's leading names in inspirational fiction."
Lori Copeland, author of The One Who Waits for Me and Walker's Wedding

About the Author

BJ Hoff’s bestselling historical novels continue to cross the boundaries of religion, language, and culture to capture a worldwide reading audience. Her books include Song of Erin and American Anthem and such popular series as The Riverhaven Years, The Mountain Song Legacy, and The Emerald Ballad. Hoff’s stories, although set in the past, are always relevant to the present. Whether her characters move about in small country towns or metropolitan areas, reside in Amish settlements or in coal company houses, she creates communities where people can form relationships, raise families, pursue their faith, and experience the mountains and valleys of life. BJ and her husband make their home in Ohio.

This is the perfect series to set down to and you will never want to stop reading till you have read all five. The struggles of the Irish and the subjugation the English, famine, and family went through. History and fiction meet hand in hand.

BJ Hoff writes stories that make you so involved in her characters that you don't want the book to end! I accidently found this author because of a bargain I received on one of her books when Borders was still around and since then I search for her books.

The Emerald Ballad series is wonderful writing by a wonderful writer. Mrs. Hoff is, thank God, a prolific author, and I intend to collect the rest of her books. I'm hooked.

I love these books, I have read Book 1 and 2 as well. It is hard to believe what the people of Ireland went through and especially when they came to the United States.

Excellent story teller is B J Hoff. I read several of her books, and they are page turners. They focus on life in Ireland, and it appears she researched her story well.

This book showed you a different perspective during this troubling time in Ireland. So many new directions for the characters we love in these books. Not always surprising, but as you would hope it would be.
