Book Description

July 1, 2010
This book is an honest and practical guide that helps new and experienced leaders land on their feet while taking on the challenge of leadership. Leadership is tough, but it can be learned if a strong platform of attitudes, habits, and understanding is built. While many books would like you to believe that leadership is a matter of learning a few secrets, there's much more to it than that. The Leadership Platform presented in this book is a practical, real-world construction. This book is an excellent way to start--or re-energize-- your journey to leadership.

Choice to Lead December 1, 2010
By Alex
Success with any endeavor requires passion, curiosity, study, and application. If you make the leadership choice and wish to have success, then this book will be your means. I have read a lot of books on leadership, and I can tell you that "Land On Your Feet, Not On Your Face" is the definitive source. I am a trainer for a large corporation and attribute the positive influence I have had on those with whom I have worked, as well as my own development, to this book.

3 Reasons Why August 6, 2010
An essential read for anyone who truly wants to understand the art of leadership. Three reasons why:

1. The stories at the beginning of each chapter bring the concepts to life in ways that any manager can relate to - "Oh, yeah, I've seen that happen!"

2. The 12 "planks" thoroughly cover ALL of what it takes to be a great leader - from leadership to Self (your own personal growth), to Leadership of Others (your relationships), to Leadership of Teams (tactical and strategic management).

3. Each chapter includes exercises to take on (called "Making it Real"), which if you engage them will make you a better leader, guaranteed.

Become a better leader... August 6, 2010
By Karen
Land On Your Feet, Not On Your Face is a user's manual for becoming a great leader ... a primer for leadership effectiveness. In my management life, I come back to the ideas and exercises in this book over and over again -- whenever I have a management dilemma or issue. Every time I come back to it, I discover something new. Land On Your Feet is that rich. I'm a better leader because of it.
