I'm pretty critical of quality when it comes to buying a leather Jacket, I've bought 2 other jackets and looked at another major retail outlet who's quality is always questionable to me. For the same price I paid for this Jacket, I feel at this particular store who's name starts w/ a W the jacket would have been of cheaper quality, so for the price, I am VERY impressed. I bought this particular one because it was styled much like an Aviator's jacket but had a few different touches.

1. Button Jacket VS Zipper - definately something that set it appart, which was an attractive part of it. the buttons are attached w/ extra space so they don't come loose, or the thread comes out. On the inside the thread is looped through a smaller button which gives it a more finished look, rather than just looking a the thread itself.

2. The Collar, from the pictures you can tell it's made of the same elastic material that the wrist cuffs are, but what is particularly nice is, you can fold it down, w/ an open feel to it, or you can pull it up to keep your neck warm. I'm writting this review 1 day after a light snow and a (from 40 degrees to about 20 degrees) 20 degree tempature drop over the few hours my family and I went in to watch a movie. I turned up the collar to keep my neck warm due to the high wind and kept my neck warm on the a short walk out to the car in the middle of the parking lot.

Inside jacket pocket is deep, not a tiny pocket for just your cell, but a good size. The side access hand pockets are not incredibly deep, but they are on the outside of the jacket behind the top acces pockets, so I can understand why they are not too deep, just big enough for your hands balled up. The jacket itself is of medium weight, great for mid weather, and the size allows for layering underneath if you intend to wear it in colder temperatures. The stitching all looks very well done, no frays or loose thread hanging out. One last thing, I was also happily surprised about the elastic of the wrist cuffs. I had expected them to be tight, but was happy to find out they stretch easy and keep shape.

Over all, VERY pleased. Great Quality for a price that won't break the bank.

I was looking for a flight jacket without the usual "bomber" look, this one has it and at a very good price. It fits well and I have had only positive comments on the look and style. Very happy with jacket and service

I am very pleased with this jacket. I was afraid it might be too small but my worries were gone the moment I opened the package ! Shipping was smooth as well.

It should be noted that this jacket is an accurate replica of the very earliest flight jackets issued by the Navy. The collar and sleeves are he way they were originally issued. The button closure consists of buttons for one simple reason - they were not routinely using zippers on clothing at the time the A-1 came out. I purchased several of these Landing Leathers jackets, both in Navy and Air Force (Air Corps) styles. I found them to be of very high quality, as well as authentic replicas, which is important for me.

I bought this jacket because the Twenties/Amelia Earhart A-1 style was the one flight-jacket type I did not have. Upon arrival, I noted that most of its details are surprisingly accurate to the original specs, including the button configuration, knit collar, and pockets. The "Lamb Nappa" hide used is the only exception: it's definitely not an aniline tanned thick capeskin like the original A-1s, but rather a fairly soft overdyed dark brown lambskin. So if you're planning to repair your Thirties Stearman biplane after a crash landing while wearing this jacket, its hide may not be tough enough. For knocking around the mall, you should be fine.

The worst thing about this jacket is that the armholes are way too big, so it is incredibly hard to move around in and feels like the seems are going to burst when you lift your arms up. The leather is extremely thin and looks like faux leather. The button holes are poor quality and are hard to button up.

I love the collar, but thats about it. If you are going to buy a leather jacket, I'd recommend going higher quality or not at all.

Instead of a traditional blck leather jacket witz zippers, I have decided to go with the brown instead. I was a bit nervous on how it would look, but turned out to be a beautiful jacket. The button look give it a nice touch and more dressy. Highly recommend.

I was disappointed in the overall quality of the leather. At best, it was average. Also, the buttons were difficult to work with (in lieu of a zipper). Other than the price, which was reasonable, I would not give this item a recommendation.
