Not a bad product, but the finish could use improvement.
While the can and shovel are heavy/sturdy enough, the black paint applied to both doesn't hold up well to hot coals. When shoveling out the woodstove, the hot coals in the can blistered the paint and actually caused it to burn. The whole house smelled like burned paint and it took some time with a floor fan at the patio door to draw the smoke out of the house.
It might make more sense to have the can and shovel "blued" as they do with firearms, as opposed to painted.

I live in a condo with an internal fireplace and ratehr than use wood I use those compressed logs (mostly Duraflames). These do a great job of burning right down to very little ash so I can get through quite a period without needing to empty the grating.

Prior to using this product I used a beach bucket and spade. Looked ridiculous sitting next to the fireplace but it worked. This product is a step up from that.

The bucket is quite large being around a foot diameter and a bit more than a foot high. The enamel was done well and it looks quite good sitting in the place of the neon green bucket and spade.

The shovel is simply a sheet of metal rolled into the shovel shape but is fairly solid and works well in getting to the corners of the back of the firebox.

Overall a pretty good looking product that does exactly what it says it does. I should have bought it earlier.

We bought this after our furnace failed and we weren't just using the wood stove for entertainment or a little extra coziness. When you are running a wood stove most of the day to heat the house, you can't just wait for the ash to be cold before cleaning it out.

The shovel cleans nicely and the lid fits well on the bucket. The wood handle is a nice touch and easier on the hands. The size of the bucket also works well. I didn't give it 5 stars because, well, I just couldn't give 5 stars to a bucket and shovel. However, for what they are they work great.

Too much money for a very thin can that looks like a minature trash can!!

This ash bucket is working out very well for our needs. We burn 24/7 in the winter and definitely have put this bucket through a good workout with no complaints. I will also note that Amazon had the best price when searching for any comparable buckets. I can't imagine why you would need to spend more money because this particular bucket seems to be very well built.

I researched ash buckets online and found comparable products for almost double the price than what Amazon is charging. I shovel the ashes in the morning, so hot coals are not an issue for the paint finish.

i wasnt happy with this ash bucket, it came with big dent, the medal is so thin i dont think its gonna last very long, the only reason i kept it is because i was taking it to my camp and didnt have time to return it. it also has a handle that isnt hooked very good to the bucket. very cheap made. junk if your gonna use it often.

This set is okay...nothing fancy about it. The first set I ordered had two dents in the can. Amazom was very quick to send a replacement set, however, this set also had a good size dent in the side of the can. Hmmmm...don't know if I should try a third time.

Update: Amazon sent another replacemnet overnight. It arrived in perfect condition. Return and replacement was not difficult at all.

I love this ash bucket! We have hardwood floors and the way the bucket has the bottom raised off the floor we can remove the ashes and not burn the floor. And the shovel is the perfect size too!

this is a cute little ash bin, but the metal of the bin and its handle are disappointingly thin and flimsy. the shovel is somewhat more substantial, but it is cheaply fashioned with unfinished edges.

the most annoying thing is there's no "holder" on the side of the bin for the shovel - the shovel just has to be propped up randomly by itself or it gets lost. a simple hook to keep the pair together would have been helpful.

it does the job, but the design could have been more efficient.
