This is a heavy duty outdoor fireplace. It does not have the elegance of copper or the newer simulated stone fireplaces. This product is highly flexible, it accommodates full size logs at a proper height for a good fire. Some fireplaces have a small fire box which limits the size of the fire to the point that you can not generate a lot of heat or use the safety screen on the fireplace.

This is my second fireplace from this manufacturer. I would recommend two improvements to this item. One would be an access door so that you do not have to lift the lid the add more wood (or to roast marshmallows). The second would be to make the wire mesh heavier as it oxidizes a little too quickly. This second issue is easily improved by spraying the mesh with fire resistant paint before using the product.

Both of these issues are minor problems and are mentioned in the hopes that the manufacturer improves the product by the time that I am ready to purchase a replacement for my current fireplace.

BTW, I shopped extensively before purchasing this current fireplace. It has by far the best combination of features which I desired in an outdoor fireplace.

This item which is 28 inches round is much larger than the ones at the box stores, (Home Depot, Lowes, etc). Plus it has wheels so you can move it from the garage or wherever you store it.
The steel screens can be removed easily so you can get the ashes out safely.
This item is very well built and I am very pleased with it

Great Product. Easy to assemble. UPS delivered the box in damaged condition, but the Fire Pit was packed very good by manufacturer and no damage to product.

This is a rather cheaply made product from China, it is wobbly but does the job. I would have been happier if it were made from a heavier gauge of steel.

Amazon is just wonderful about getting products delivered in a very timely fashion. This outdoor fireplace arrived exactly when promised, Thank You!!!
However, I am very dissappointed with the lack of quality of the wheels. There is alot to assemble, and along the way I saw that one of wheels was crushed in shipping. The fact that it broke in shipment told me immediately that with regular use these extremely cheap brittle plastic wheels will not hold up. I called the manufacturer and they were very quick to volunteer to send me another one free. I said "it won't be the same exact kind will it?" and they said "Yes it will be".I asked if we could upgrade to a more durable wheel, to which they said "No. Stunned I said "okay" thinking to myself "if this got broke in shipment, how long is it going to last with use?" I've decided to keep this product since I already have it assembled, but I will probably regret keeping it because without the wheels it will be un-usable since it will tilt to the front and be unsafe to burn. I will try to find some rubber wheels somewhere to replace these cheap ones. Otherwise, the product is well-built, I like the safe burning designed screen panels and heat output is great...............................
UPDATE
Just received requested replacement wheel along with a second one, these replacement wheels are made very well, and so I am extremely happy with this product now.

The outdoor fireplace came with a broken wheel. When I called Landmann, the abrupt response was that I would get a replacement in two weeks. After pointing out that the original delivery was in three days, their response was that I didn't buy it from them. In front of me was a packing slip from Landmann which said bill to Amazon and ship to me.
Particularly in view of today's economy it seems that customer service has gone out of the window and the wrong people are employed.

Not all of the parts were in the box when we received it. I ended up spending about 30 minutes in Home Depot looking for bolts to put it together. Some of the parts where not the right size and would not hold it together. Again, Home Depot.

It did work well, but they need to do some quality control checks.

I recieved the fire place promptly, it did come with damage to the lid, could have been packed better. Other wise the transaction was okay.

The wheel was broke and I called for a replacement but never got a call back....Very poor service.

This fire pit is awesome! It is high enough, that my dogs do not get their fur singed as they walk by. I can just keep my wood stored in it, ready for my fire. The fire pit sends out lots of heat! Haven't found any other pit that works this well.
