The final section of the book is concerned with the spiritual reality of human existence. These are seen as basic elements in late twentieth-century society. In his new introduction, Peter Drucker revisits the main findings of Landmarks of Tomorrow and assesses their validity in relation to today's concerns. It is a book that will be of interest to sociologists, economists, and political theorists.

About the Author

Peter F. Drucker (1909-2005) is known by many as the father of modern management. He was Clarke Professor of Social Science and Management at Claremont Graduate School in California and was a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He is the author of over thirty-five books, including The Ecological Vision, The Concept of the Corporation, and A Functioning Society.

Peter F. Drucker (1909-2005) was considered the top management thinker of his time. He authored over 25 books, with his first, The End of Economic Man published in 1939. His ideas have had an enormous impact on shaping the modern corporation. One of his most famous disciples alive today is Jack Welch. He was a teacher, philosopher, reporter and consultant.

Fifty years ago Drucker looked at the state of the world and commented upon its future realities. Most of this book has now received careful and thoughtful follow up, but not until recently. Here is an amazing testimonial to Drucker intellect and scholarship. This book is still highly relevant because it has not yet become common practice. Only the best performing organizations are using his ideas. Amazing!
