What beautiful and innovative designs this book has. My husband and I wanted to landscape much of our property with stone. We actually did more than planned because we were so impressed by much of the ideas in this book. A concern of ours was the price. Much of the simpler projects you find you can do yourself (such as the small retaining wall around the garden), which saved on additional labor costs. We were guided which stones to use, and stones that could be found around the property. For the work that was a bit more extensive we called in a professional and showed him from the book what we wanted. He was very much impressed with this book himself.

I love the full color pictures - it gave me all sorts of ideas. I just wished there were a few more pages on "How to do it" I'd recommend this book though for the price - it was awesome.

Beautiful book, well put together, LOTS of pictures. I especially liked the way the author covered different styles of stonework. I'm not a fan of very formal design and he included examples of more informal, earthy landscaping.

From single stone placements to walkways, patios and garden rooms, this book will provide you with endless ideas and inspiration. The instructions are thorough yet easy to follow. A must for a resplendent garden!

I bought 3 different well reviewed "stone" books and this one was easily the best of those. Lots of well taken pictures of genuinely _different_ styles and types of stone patios and walkways. The other books are shorter and have fewer good pictures. Also this book was best at describing the pros and cons of different types of stone and stone building. None of these books explain _exactly_ how to build stone patios and walls and pathways by yourself but this one has more detail than most out there.

Beautiful, large pictures of finished designs and step by step instructions. Oriented toward the beginner rather than the professional. Just being able to point to a picture and say "That is what I want" is worth the price of the book. I want to go out and build a stone path right now!

A lovely book.
Very practical Ideas on how to landscape with stone. Only drawback I found was that almost all illustrations expect you to have a large space to be working with. Delivery to Kenya was as expected.

This book is full of exciting, beautiful ideas. I'm planning the entire future of my lawn using this book. There are simple to understand and easy to follow instructions for the basics too.

With a large amount of natural rocks on my property, I was frustrated with books and magazines only suggesting rockeries as uses for rocks. This book has a myriad of excellent, creative, and practical ideas that has given me many new options. Excellent photos, advice and general information.

I am proud to own and use this gorgeously illustrated, instructive book. For anyone who loves to create with stone 'from scratch'...this is definitely a 'must-have.'
