I am moving to Denmark and working there in a professional position and I needed a dictionary to look up a word now and then as I go through the process of re-learning Danish and also while I communicate with prospective employers and my future in-laws. I had already ownded another dictionary, a full-sized regular style dictionary. I like this one better. Even though this is sincerely a pocket-dictionary, it has had a lot of words in it that the other "full-size" one has not.

It also has fantastic quick reference pages for common words, like numbers and such. Also, the pronunciation guide has been better than the other dictionary. I really like this book a lot, and if I had to purchase dictionaries again I would only purchase this particular dictionary.

The size is also lovely. It really fits anywhere, yet with the bright yellow cover it is easy to find no matter where you have stashed it. Truly, this product will get no complaints from me.

This pocket dictionary really will fit in your pocket! It has a flexible plastic cover which should wipe off easily if need be. It also has blue headwords. It appears to be as comprehensive as one would expect for this size. It includes both American and British usage (the American usage is indicated by Am). The introduction and guide to pronunciation are in both languages. There are also 31 pages at the back with information for travelers (in both English and Danish): basic (travel) phrases, abbreviations, a mini-grammar with irregular verbs, numerals, how to tell time, and metric conversions including a thermometer showing both Fahrenheit and Centrigrade/Celcius.

I am casually learning Danish. This is a handy item for when I need to look up a word when writing a short letter or reading something, but it's small enough that it'd probably be better for travel. For home use, I'd like a slightly larger book with bigger type... this is cute but it took me by surprise that is was so small in size! The vinyl binding seems sturdy enough to make this a great pocket dictionary for your travels!

These dictionaries are pocket sized language powerhouses...Ive purchased several for the Kasilof AK library, used and otherwise (less that 10.00 ea.)and patrons of all ages used them...My kid is studying in Denmark next year and needed one....But, even if it's out of print doesnt mean anyone should expect to pay $1,000.00..I mean, REALLY? I found mine for 15.00 on the east coast....Biblio.com, I love books!
