This review is from: Langenscheidt's Pocket Menu Reader Germany (Turtleback)
I know a little German, but haven't traveled much in German-speaking countries. For someone like me, this book is perfect. It's fairly small, but it covers a lot of ground - in addition to phrases and vocabulary, it also talks about dining customs, etc.
Note: If you have next to no German knowledge, a more general phrasebook may be be more useful. In my experience, most German wait staff speak excellent English - so why not focus on basic conversation? |
