D. Brenton Simons is editorial director of the Newbury Street Press, special publications division of the New England Historic Genealogical Society. He is past director of education and special programs at the Society, and served on its Sesquicentennial Conference and Coddington Award of Merit committees. He has contributed to numerous NEHGS publications and most recently edited Theodore Chase and Laurel K. Gabel's acclaimed Gravestone Chronicles II.
