Review

The breadth of coverage is impressive (i.e., lifespan), from my perspective, the depth of coverage is not. This is the ONLY text which I have been able to find which specifically addresses language disorders (vs. communication disorders) across the lifespan. The scope (lifespan) and focus (language disorders) are excellent. The style and level of writing is clear and easily accessible to undergraduate students.

This book gives excellent suggestions on what can be done in different situations that a speech pathologist may run into. It also briefs the reader on many of the tests used in clinics today and compares them to each other. It tackles cultural and testing issues. Many disorders are defined in the book as well as what to do about them. It also includes quizzes at the end of each chapter.
