This is a nice plastic folding sheet that has some essential basics for new learners of Japanese. Unfortunately, the copy that I received had a terrible mistake on the verb chart: the "informal non-past" verbs have been switched with the "formal masu" verbs. A proofreader obviously goofed!

The error that was written about in previous review appears to be fixed. I recently picked up a copy to help me remember some vocabulary for a class I am taking.

This pamphlet is a good beginner reference but is lacking in the fact that no kana or kanji is used. If you are already advanced to reading Hiragana and Katakana, this will help you with remembering how to write the Kana, but the Romanji may cause you to mispronounce some words.

For a beginning Japanese speaker, I think that this is an excellent resource guide, but it needs to be paired with a good book series as well. Care needs to be excercised to ensure you pronounce things correctly. A little more work could have been put in to the pamphlet by placing hyphens into certain words to emphasize the correct Japanese pronounciation.

Overall, for it's size, it packs a lot of information and minimizes your lookup time of commonly used words and phrases.
