If you only have the money to buy one book about animal communication, this is my number one choice. I recommend it
because it is the best book I have found on the subject. I have a stack of books on animal communication in my library, but Miss Kinkade's are the ones I refer to again and again.

You get to watch Amelia's own journey from skeptic to psychic, and through her experiences you learn how you can communicate with your animals. This works. Really. I have done it. By sharing her own vulnerabilities, Miss Kinkade helps you find the courage to work through your own. As you learn to identify the information as it comes in, you will soon realize you are communicating with your own animals, and probably the neighbor's as well.

She brings you the latest science along with specific techniques to practice. She inlcludes a wonderful recommended reading list, and a list of animal communicators she trusts and has trained. This should be required reading for anyone that works with animals, especially veterinarians. This is not just any other 'how-to' book, this is a 'how-it-is-done' book. It is the most entertaining and inspiring "text" book you will ever find on any subject. Those sideways glances from your dog will bring on a whole new meaning. The glare-stare from the cat usually does not require an interpreter.

You will laugh out loud, perhaps shed a few tears, and find yourself paying more attention to your animal friends. Too bad they limit you to five stars.

Discussions of quantum physics are seamlessly interwoven with the text, while her writing remains as vivid, immediate and engaging as ever and her soul as caring. As a doctor and researcher who has been among many scientists at Cambridge and London Universities, I would like to encourage everyone to buy and read this book - particularly those who work 'on', but not 'with' animals for a living. Taking this book into your world will change it - and please give yourselves that chance.

For all you skeptics out there, this is a must read.

Amelia Kinkade collected real life stories from around the world that illustrate animal communication is not only possible, but possible for all people to learn. The stories have real-world validation by normal, sane, ordinary people that are just like your neighbors, and may even BE your neighbors.

If you have ever asked, "How could the animal communicator have known that?!" this book should get you far on the path to finding those answers. Miss Kinkade not only shares a wealth of information, she is a fantastic writer that will have you enchanted before you realize you are learning, let alone learning science. The stories from her successful students allow you to view the process and recognize it in yourself. She includes more meditations and exercises for you to practice. There is a great reference section in the back, and a list of professional animal communicators she recommends. She also has a great sense of humor that will leave you grinning like a monkey.

I read through the clearly written suggestions in this marvelous little book and experienced an exchange with a young race horse I don't think I otherwise could have. She was reluctant to get in the trailer to go to the track and it was spiraling out of control making her life unpleasant and dangerous for those trying to work with her. I quietly asked her what the deal with the trailer process was and she clearly responded that it was about CHANGE and she does not relish change! This was from home. When I was with her later that day I asked her trainer to come have a talk with her, and as we stood by her stall she left her delicious oats to listen to my friend's assertions that this young thoroughbred was assured a safe and permanent home on her farm and that gettng into a trailer did not mean she was leaving the farm forever - just for the day. The horse seemed to absorb this and loaded up without a problem both to the track and from it later that day. I will add that she needs assurance and reminders as time goes on - but she responds positively to thse every time. To say I was floored is putting it lightly - to say my skeptical thoroughbred trainer friend was amazed continues to delight!

The instructions and suggestions are easy to absorb and accessible for a beginner like me. I have read other books on this subject and this is one of my favorites because of its clariity and down to earth approach. Start with this one and you will be pleased.

This book is Amelia Kinkade's second, with a foreword by Bernie Siegel. In her first book `Straight from the Horses Mouth', Amelia Kinkade asserted that we could all talk to animals, and set out all the steps for learning how to do it. I can vouch for the fact that it works! In this new book she has raised the bar, taking her insights into how to talk to animals to new levels of sophistication, with the same balance of wit and sensitivity. With even more tips on how to do it! And even more amazing stories which demonstrate animal communication in action. But she has not just taken her thoughts on several stages, she also seeks in this book to explain how and why she feels animal communication (and any kind of psychic connection) is real and second-nature to us all. She takes some of the most difficult concepts about consciousness that leading edge scientists are grappling with today and proposes a compelling and thought-provoking hypothesis about psychic connection in animals, humans and between the two. She has an amazing knack of making difficult thinking simple and accessible, as well as enlisting the help of such major figures as Captain Edgar Mitchell to help explain them, so we can all make our own minds up about what she proposes. She is deadly serious about the need to raise awareness of and respect for the animals we share the planet with. This book is a must for animal lovers, for anyone interested in psychic phenomena and for people who like to follow what is happening in consciousness research (as showcased by events like the annual `the Field' conferences). If like me you are interested in all three, this book is not to be missed.

This book will make even the worst skeptic take a good hard look at their reservations. It is a must read for any one who is involved with animals in any way. You will finish it with a new way of thinking about many concepts and ideas. Thank you Amelia for your exceptional explainations and the instruction you offer for us to use.

Me and my cats and neighbourg dogs all loved this book.

This is an engaging book by a professional animal communicator. The anecdotes she shares are truly amazing and lots of fun. Additionally, she provides techniques by which the reader can also learn to talk with the animals.

I do have a few quibbles, however. The first is that the author is determined to provide a recognized scientific basis to explain the communication. As the traditional sciences have never been particuarly flexible even when they have been totally wrong (the world is flat, the earth is the center of the universe, etc)they are unlikely to be convinced by the latest theories in quantum physics. The people who buy this book already know and believe. I found the constant insertion of scientific thoery and the author's dumbing it down for the rest of us annoying, unneccesary and patronizing. Additionally, I found her names for her processes clumsy. Just say bridge of light instead of lumenstilta!

The author warns prospective communicators that they risk actual physical and possibly emotional pain by engaging in her healing techniques. As a reiki master and qi gong practitioner,I respectfully disagree. Healers, while frequently empathic, do not have to take on the ailments of their patients. I was surprised that the author was so insistent on acceptance of the pain--as animals are capable of communicating in pictures, a request to do so would suffice without the pain.

The author's occasional coyness was irritating, particuarly when describing a session without revealing the animals she was treating. Their species was neighter shocking nor appalling. It also appeared that she was, at times, anthromorphizing the creatures, with her insistence that they have "boyfriends". Her chapter on her housefly was truly unneccesary.

However, all in all, it was a fun read that encourages dancing down the avenues of communication with you furry, feathered or scaled friends.
