The LU-11 is a wonderful Soprano Ukulele offered by Lanikai. This handcrafted ukulele is made with Nato wood (otherwise known as Eastern Mahogany) on its top back and sides. This wood choice brings out a crisp texture to the sound of the instrument that is very well suited in keeping with the tradition of this instrument. If you have never played ukulele before get ready for a world of fun. The ukulele is an addicting instrument that can and will be taken everywhere. The standard tuning on a Soprano, Concert, and Tenor ukulele is GBEA, and on a Baritone DGBE. If you can play one ukulele you can play them all! This is my first time purchasing (and playing) a ukulele. After doing much research, I decided to get this one; not only because of the brand, but also due to its bundle pack.

First off: I am very pleased with this ukulele. It looks just like it does in the picture. It is a lot more simple-looking than I though, but takes much effort to get those chords right!(: I did noticed that the strings got out of tune almost every time I played. My suggestion is to keep tuning them. Because the strings are new, they need some time to adjust to your playing. I've been playing and tuning since I got my uke and now only have to tune my C and E strings periodically. That brings me to the actual tuner itself...It is NOT what is advertised in the picture. I believe one the other reviewers said the one this company sends you is a guitar tuner. I'm not sure what kind it is. All I know is that it does not work with my uke (I had to look up an online tuner and play by ear.) The case is very cute and looks durable, although again, the tuner advertised isn't exactly what they send you. Mine has a grey patch on the front. This doesn't hinder the use of the case in any way...just a fyi kind of thing. And last the wipe. It's fairly big (bigger than my hand) and is nice and soft. Although I wonder why a uke player would really *need* a wipe. I used wipes while playing the cello and violin due to the rosin buildup. But I'm not complaining. I guess it'll be useful if/when my uke becomes dusty?

I'm a guitar player and I scoured the reviews looking for the best beginner ukulele for my daughter who never played one before. We weren't disappointed. The finish isn't perfect, but I did not expect that in this price range. I did expect the instrument to tune and sound good, and this model performs very nicely. The tuner is different from the one shown, but its actually more compact with big indicator lights on it. It works very well, so no complaint there. After a few days of having to tune it before she played, the strings settled in nicely and the instrument sounds great. The case is nice with a pocket for music and the tuner. She plays in a ukulele ensemble at school and the other players rave about how good it sounds. I highly recommend this package. A great deal for the price.

I thought I ordered a Lannikai but I received a Kohala ukulele... I just decided to keep it because I didn't feel like sending it back but I was a bit disappointed. Other than that the tuner is great. I paid for a Lannikai so I think I should get one.

I bought this as a present. We did a brief google search on what to look for. And this really exceeded my expectations. A quality instrument that gives a great sound. If ur looking for a real ukelele and not a toy....this is the one for you. Beautiful finish, sturdy, great sound, holds its tune. tuner works great. I would feel good buying other products from this company too

Had to send it back when I realized that the Uke I got was a lesser value one. Good news was, I found out about Concert ukes in the meantime and got a chance to order one which has more room for my older, fatter fingers. Really nice package though and the uke sounded pretty nice despite my untrained attempts to play it.

Great beginners package. Easy to play and sounds great. No complaints. Definitely worth the money if it's your first uke...like this was for me!
