5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, but e-book typographical errors
Loved the book, and others from the series. The only issue with the e-book version is the presence of typographical errors which become more common towards the end. These are most likely from the scanning procedure, for example from the ever present ~ characters on Locations 2551-68. Others could be from the scanning or human error, such as the b to h replacement. I've...

3.0 out of 5 stars A significant improvement!
Swords and Ice Magic is a HUGE improvement over its predecessor. It was good to see Leiber get back on track instead of putting together standard "run around the dungeon" fare. I am looking forwards to the next installment now, instead of feeling like I was reading only to be a completist.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sixth book...., August 27, 2011

This review is from: Lankhmar Book 6: Swords and Ice Magic (Adventures of Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser (Dark Horse Books)) (Bk. 6) (Paperback)
While this isn't a novel, Fritz Leiber only wrote one novel of Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser, the short stories do fit together to make a nice, overhanging plot. Starring Death, the sea, and the Gods, some from there and some from here, the book is full of adventure, action, and mystery.
I had to take one star away for the fact that much of it does feel the same - just a slightly different version than the stories printed before.
On the other hand, it was nice to see Loki and Odin starring in a fantasy book.
