5.0 out of 5 stars Significantly heals overnight
I've tried Desitin, Mustela, Burt's Bees and Method diaper creams. They were OK, but when it got really bad I had some samples of this and found it to be the BEST. It actually heals a bad diaper rash significantly overnight, absorbs very easily into his skin (i.e. does not leave a thick layer of whiteness everywhere). 3.0 out of 5 stars I've used better!
I've become accustomed to using diaper creams with every diaper change to PREVENT diaper rash before it occurs, however, with this product my baby still managed to get a diaper rash, and luckily I had some of my British cream on hand to heal it up in 2 diaper changes. You can get Bepanthen on Amazon.com but I think it is shipped from Europe and so the mark up on it is...

I don't rub it in, just apply a good blob on the affected area and diaper him up, but it doesn't cake up like the Desitin did so when I went to change him the next time it seemed to have absorbed into his skin (or maybe the diaper), but either way it worked fast and is a wonderful product.

we use cloth diapers and the pressure of the snappi that secures the diaper was leaving our son's skin red and irritated. we were using burt's bees diaper cream without any success. it only left his skin pasty and didn't relieve the redness. we also tried wedela brand - another natural diaper cream which didn't work at all. i had a sample of lansinoh from the maternity unit and we gave it a try - it worked almost instantly! the redness resolved after a few applications. we switched to lansinoh and use it with every diaper change. it's a great product, goes on clear and absorbs well.

We tried a sample that came with the nursing pads because we were out if anything else. This stuff works very well, and as a bonus it doesn't smell at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars try it out to see the difference, January 13, 2011

yes it says its an ointment but it was a cream, which is/was even better! our 5m old little has had a few diaper rashes before (this one being just awful) and i've gone back and forth between this and A&D wanting to see if one worked better then the other. until now the only difference was A&D is an ointment, which i found to be too goopy while the Lansinoh is a thick cream, which i find easier to apply so for me that was a preference. for diaper rashes though they seemed to work about the same.

this time she got a rash beyond anything i had seen, we used A&D and it just got worse so we saw her ped. thinking due to location maybe it was a yeast infection not a reg. diaper rash. He told us it was just a really bad diaper rash and gave us an ointment for layer 1 and a cream for layer 2, a protective layer. we used that combo for roughly a week and it only seemed redder and looked like it was blistering, the poor girl, i wanted to bring her in again but hubby said it would take time and it was part of the healing process. we ran out before it was time for a refill so i used the Lansinoh cream as layer 2 and noticed a difference that day. when hubby got off work he looked at the area while changing her and suggested using it on its own, so we did. we finished off the tube and its looking much better. today is day 1 w/o it and shes cranky so ordering more to sooth her tush!

i'm so glad i wanted to test each kind to find our favorite instead of just buying one brand.
-Tra (wifey & momma)

*UPDATE*
she's 6m now and the rash never did come back into full effect. at the slightest sign of a rash we apply a layer and the next day she is good to go. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't be beat!, September 9, 2010
This review is from: Lansinoh® Diaper Rash Ointment 3oz (Health and Beauty)
This diaper cream is magic! My son is got a horrible diaper rash while on antibiotics, no matter what I used (multiple creams including a prescription) nothing helped and some creams made my son scream when I applied them, I used Lansinoh and the results were immediate and after 2 days there was no sign of a rash. I have used it religiously since and wouldn't trade it for anything. I even had my 12 year old daughter use it on her chin when it was chapped last winter and saw the same awesome results. We will continue to have this on hand even after diapers are long gone!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product, October 28, 2008
This review is from: Lansinoh® Diaper Rash Ointment 3oz (Health and Beauty)
This is an excellent product. My daughter had a severe diaper rash for one month. I tried everything, all the ointments that I knew and nothing works, and her pediatrician gave me a prescription for Nistatin, it woks for a little but the results were too slow. Last week, I found this cream in BabiesRus and I wanted to tried for last time something new and surprisingly works wonderful, in 2 days the diaper rash has gone. It's a pretty good product!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best diaper rash ointment I've found...works when nothing else does., September 18, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Lansinoh® Diaper Rash Ointment 3oz (Health and Beauty)
I found out about this product last summer when my 18 month old had diarrhea on and off for over three months. When none of the other major brands worked, I resorted to anti-fungal creams; however, those did not work, so I kept searching. The Lansinoh cream was the only thing I could find that would help heal severe diaper rash. I don't use it as an everyday barrier (due to the price), but I keep it around in case my babies start to develop a rash. Definitely worth the price, but hard to find in stores...I order it on Amazon (wish they'd make it Prime eligible).
