5.0 out of 5 stars Much better than other bags
I used to use bottles to store EBM because the bags that came with my medela breast pump were ridiculous. I got these storage bags in a pack of breast pads and tried them out. They are fantastic! I used to use bottles to store EBM because the bags that came with my medela breast pump were ridiculous. I got these storage bags in a pack of breast pads and tried them out. They are fantastic! You can easily label the bag with the date and ounces of milk contained and they store flat in the freezer taking up less room. They are also very easy to defrost. I used to have to take a bottle out the day before to defrost it in time. With these bags, you just place them in warm water and they thaw very quickly (just keep replacing the water). The bags store 6 ounces of milk while the medela stores only 5 ounces. I highly recommend these storgae bags.

5.0 out of 5 stars I wouldn't use any other bags for freezing my liquid gold, January 3, 2005

I was exclusively pumping for 2 months, so breast milk bags were very important to me. The bags are made of double plastic, so they're relatively sturdy. Many other bags have a single layer of plastic. They also have a double ziplock seal, which is very useful for trying to get all the air out of the bag, and make an airtight seal, which is needed for freezing. It also allows them to become completely flat. Many other bags have ties, which are annoying to try to create an airtight seal and create a bunch at one end, so they don't stack flat.

The tab above the fill line is also an unexpectedly useful feature. When you have bags stacked, you can just flip through the tabs to see the dates rather than lifting each bag one by one to see what's written on the bag itself.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice product compared to other bags, January 25, 2005

I like that there are two zippers on the bag. They are freezable without double bagging (Avent bags require double bagging for freezing, which basically doubles the cost of storage) and are a lot easier to open than the Gerber bags. The sides split easier than the Gerber bags, but the Gerbers are so difficult to pry open that I often find myself tearing through the top of the bag. Overall, of the three kinds I've tried, these are the best.

my hubby and I never had any luck with any brand of storage bags. all of them leaked while thawing and we had trouble getting our daughter to take her bottle. we thought it was because she was used to being exclusively breastfed but then one day my husband tasted the milk...it tasted just like rubbing alcohol!!! it was gross. we immediately froze some milk in a boring old 99 cent bottle as an experiment: she took her bottle just fine and the milk tasted normal. we stocked up on the 3 packs of 4/5 ounce bottles from Evenflo and Gerber and sealing discs and froze milk in those. It worked wonderfully and when she was weaned we cleaned the bottles and stored them. we have a boy now that's a week old and we got out the bottles and sterilized them. works like a charm. they have already paid for themselves many times over since they're reusable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best bags I have used!, October 22, 2005
This review is from: Lansinoh 20435 Breastmilk Storage Bags, 25-Count Box (Health and Beauty)
I am a full time working mom of a 3 1/2 mth old. I returned to work 2 weeks ago and have to pump during the day. Before I returned to work I had begun pumping milk to store. At 1st I used the Medela bags but they didn't have a zipper seal feature and it was difficult to use them. Then I tried the Gerber bags and a few of them were in my freezer for 2 months and they somehow burst and began leaking when unthawing. The Lansinoh bags are stronger, they're easy to write on, they sit upright easier, they have a double seal/zipper feature and it is easier to poor out the milk in bottles. Plus they say "My mommy's milk" How cute is that? I strongly recommend these bags.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best bags ever., October 8, 2005

These are the only bags to buy. I have used several HUNDRED, have only had 3 leaks/tears. The double zipper lock is practically foolproof, you can do it in the dark! They flatten nicely for freezer storage. Again, they are durable. They have made storing breast milk much less of a fuss. Twist tie bags are for the birds! Even my husband can work these!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Breastmilk Storage Bags out there!, September 17, 2005

I love the double zip-lock closure feature to prevent spillage and freezer burn. The bags are thick enough so they don't spring leaks. Also the fact that you can write on them with a regular pen is wonderful. And there's a place to write baby's name, the date the milk was pumped, and how many ounces. This is all great so you can thaw the oldest milk first, and know how many oz. are in the bag, too, without guessing.

5.0 out of 5 stars the best on the market, September 13, 2005

I must say these bags are great! My husband was shocked that I used the medela bags with twist ties b/c they weren't air tight. Of course! We ziplock our own things, why twist tie something as important as this? These bags have _2_ zippers. The only thing that I don't like is that sometimes with bags it looks like you've pumped more (in ounces) than you actually have once you pour it into a bottle, but that's the case for any bags.

I've tried several milk storage bags and these are the best! They hold a lot of milk and are very durable! I like the double-seal and the space provide at the top of the bag for the date. I highly recommend!

These are the best bags on the market. If there are any issues that would come up, (i.e. bad batch of bags that leak), their customer service dept. is great to deal with and get replacements to you quickly.
