I bought a box of these out of desperation when I was nursing my first baby and this was the only brand in the drugstore. I was instantly put off by their large size in comparison to other pads I'd used (I'm a C, bordering on D at best when BFing). At the time, I felt like they were scrunched up and thus more visible/lumpy than other pads.

I gave them another try with my second and I actually kind of like them. I mainly used Avent pads before but it didn't take much sweat to soak them so they were nasty to wear in the summer. You never even know when the Lansinoh pads are wet. They're awesome at wicking away moisture and are so much thinner than other pads. The size actually isn't as much of an issue if you use the adhesive strips - which I honestly never bothered with on other brands.

Over my 16 (and counting) months of nursing, I've tried at least four other brands (Gerber, Johnson & Johnson, Avent, Medela) and these are the best.

I tried the Medela brand nursing pads and the Lansinoh brand. I like the Lansinoh better because it has more adhesive on the backing than the Medela. That's my only draw for buying these over the Medela brand pads; they stay in place better.

These are by far the best disposable nursing pads I've ever used. They are SUPER absorbent, they stay in place perfectly, and they're very thin and discreet.

I also like that they are individually wrapped, and flat when folded in half in the package, so they can be easily stored in the diaper bag for emergencies.

They are most definitely worth the price, even though they may be more expensive than other brands. (Don't ever buy the Gerber ones. They are terrible.)

I started using these nursing pads during my pregnancy and continued using them while nursing. They are very absorbent, and most days I only needed one pair to get me through the day (I used resuable pads at night, which weren't as absorbent but it didn't matter as much). I did leak quite a bit initially after delivery, and even then I only changed them once (so two pairs per day). I tried other brands and found them to be very scratchy, but these are quite comfortable and are more discreet than reusable pads. If I positioned them just right, I could get away with wearing these in a cami with a built-in bra and nothing over it, and I can put them in a bra with no problem.

I bought 3 boxes of these while pregnant with my 2nd child after reading all the great reviews. I loved the brand I used with my first, but they've discontinued them. I am flabbergasted at the good reviews. These are atrocious.
1) They're huge. I'm pretty small-chested normally, but when nursing I'm in Cs or even above, and these stick out of all but the biggest boulder-holder bras out there.
2) They're wrinkly. They come folded, but they don't really flatten out, and they curl and wrinkle, and are designed to permanently wrinkle at the edges. Luckily, my bras are padded enough that it doesn't really show through my clothes, but it's uncomfortable and does make me look lumpy if I'm wearing a thinner or tighter top.
3) They don't stay in place. The stick-um on the back is pretty useless - it just gets lint on it ASAP and doesn't stick - so I stopped removing the paper to stick them in place and just tucked the pad into my bra. Within a few minutes of daily activities (reaching to a high shelf for example), it's a malformed lump lost somewhere in the cup. Constantly feeling myself up trying to get this thing to just stay put enough to do its job.
4) They don't hold a lot. I have an oversupply, but I could wear my old brand a full day and sometimes even a full 24 hours before I had to swap it out. I have to change these 2 or 3 times a day - that's partly because they don't hold a lot, partly because they mash up so badly that I get frustrated and just put in a new pair, but grossest of all...
5) They stink. That's right, if you leak into them (and isn't what they're for?) they start to smell like rotten milk within a few hours. Look, I know that's what's in there, but my old brand never stank.

I loved Lansinoh pads 3 years ago while nursing my first child b/c they were bigger than other brands--cover more than just aerola--and were nice and flat. Bought them again this month for birth of new daughter, and am VERY disappointed that the company CHANGED the pads by making them smaller--they will barely cover your nipples if you are a DD cup--and making them "tapered," which makes them more dome-shaped, but also basically means now they have two annoying seams that make unsightly bulges that show through your shirt. So I am on a new search for nursing pads that are as big as the OLD Lansinoh pads were before they decided to "update" them!!! I'll never understand why companies mess with perfection by modifying products that were fine just the way they were!

I have battled nipple thrush on and off for 3 months of my b-feeding relationship with my now 5 month old son. I tried the ultra-soft Lansinoh pads (Lansinoh Ultra Soft Disposable Nursing Pads, 36 Count) which many have reviewed very positively but must say they retain a lot of damp or help the thrush because I can never quite get my nipples to feel as dry or as good as in these here. The backing on the ultra-softs looks like it contains a full plastic liner while on these the backing seems 'breathable', so I guess that is what makes the difference for me.
In addition, I have tried the organic cotton reusable pads which I have to wash in vinegar at high temperatures to ensure the Thrush doesn't stay in and are great since they don't leak; but they too do not stay dry across the day. I use them occasionally when I am not working, have access to at least two other sets, and want to be good to the environment.
I have also tried the other disposable pads made by the breast pump experts. These are singly packaged in the yellow packets. They are really thin and much more slimline than these (nigh invisible) and of similar material so very comfortable, but with only one sticky patch, so they tend to scrunch up every time after the first b-feed has pulled them out of shape a little, which annoys the hell out of me.
So all in all - after trying and testing a gazillion options, I have stuck with these. They are affordable-ish, have two sticky patches that hinder scrunching much more than others do (though no breast pad doesn't scrunch up), they feel breathable and dry across the whole day (key to getting rid of the pesky candida), do not leak, and are slimline enough not to show unless someone is looking for them. Five stars!
