I keep this to sharpen my granfors bruks axe or my condor machete in the field. It is a light weight easy to pack solution for keeping your gear sharp in the field. It is also very useful when sharpening anything with a curve in it that you cant get to with a regular sharpening stone. Would recommend to anyone with any large cutting tools that they want to keep sharp.

If you have chopping or slashing tool that you want to be able to touch up in the feild this is what you need. Works quick, not to big for a tool box or pack, and you don't mees up the tapper of the blade like with a fixed angle sharpener.

The Lansky puck arrived very quickly and had The Puck in it. The stone has course and medium grit stones which got my Cold Steel Kurki Machetes pretty sharp. Then I had to sharpen my sword, other machetes and touch up others. Overall great stone would suggest buying one.

this was purchased to sharpen a dull axe that i had, it fits perfectly in your hand and makes sharpening so easy.Very durable..great purchase

I purchased this to help sharpen a Gerber Gator Jr. Machete. It works very well, it is like a heavy sandpaper hockey puck. It seems to put a nice edge on it, and it is compact and durable. So I am satisfied with the purchase.

The Puck arrived earlier than expected, two days before I was told to expect it. So far I have used it to sharpen a Hatchet as well as a Machete. There is a slight learning curve because of the way you hold this but that is quickly figured out. (It would be better if this came with instructions.)

That being said it did the jobs quickly and maybe a little too well. (Somehow I don't think either Hatchets or Machetes are supposed to be razored.) I have recomended the puck to several people including family members.

This item has been a great asset to my sharpening tools. I am glad that I ordered it and started to use this instead of just using a file. It helps me get a sharper edge on all my machete's and axes.

Really close to the best for sharpening larger tools.

The ideal would be this two-grit stone in the Lansky Lawn & Garden Multi Purpose Sharpener shape.

I didn't get quite the razor edge I was hoping for, but it's a medium grit stone, so that's a case of my expectations outrunning my purchase. For its purpose and for its price, this is a good stone.

This is the right tool for the job. I imagine that any old stone could sharpen an axe or other edged tool, but this one fits in your hand just right. The double sided stone is very useful, and the round form of the stone won't wear through your pack. Like it.
