I cannot say enough nice things about the C clamp. It made sharpening my knives a pleasure. I always struggled before and even came to dread the time when I my knives got dull and needed attention. On some occasions I even got cut during the process, but not anymore. If you use the Lansky system you owe it to yourself to get a holder. The C clamp works for me, but maybe you would prefer the mounted variety.

This is a must have if you are going to be using any Lansky knife sharpening kit.
You can mount it vertically or horizontally due to the fact that the removable piece can be placed in one of two holes, one on the top and one on the side.
I'm very pleased with this and feel comfortable recommending it for others.

I purchased a Lansky set ...then three extra hones to round out the Lansky sharping set...then this clamp to make it even easier to use ..especially when sharpening a set of knives. Really good quality.

After about a year of holding my Lansky Sharpening system I decided to spend a little money and buy the clamp/mount. I am happy I did! I now find getting the perfect edge is so much faster and easier. It is extremely portable and I have moved it from location to location without much effort. The top peg of the mount can be removed completely so as to allow you a flat working surface on your work bench....this is a nice feature that someone put some serious thought into. Great Job developing a Great Product!

If you have the Lansky sharpening kit, you have to have this clamp. A steady sharpener gives you a much better edge.

The Lansky Super "C" Clamp gives a rock steady base for the Lansky sharpener. It makes the sharpener not only easier to use, but much less tiring in it's use. Makes the sharpener work like it's supposed to. I have used the clamp for a couple months now and I have super sharp knives to boot. A real time saver.

This clamp is a nice addition to the Lansky sharpening system. It is more convenient than just holding the knife or setting the knife on a table, but not really necessary unless you have a knife in need of a lot of work or a lot of knives to sharpen. The clamp I got does not look like the one pictured, but is functionally the same.

but overall is a great system. unless you send the knife back to the company to get it sharpened or to a place that uses a laser, you will have a hard time getting it sharper than you will with this system.

If you use the Lansky sharpener, then you need this clamp. In my opinion, it not only makes it easier to use, but it allows me to keep both hands on the stone and guide rod. This, for me, seems to help make a more accurate edge.

I got the Lansky Deluxe 5-Hone Sharpening System this c-clamp screws to the table and gives you a point to attach your Lansky. It's a find product, but for me I found it was not worth the price. Just me - others may find it much more useful.
