This book makes the perfect gift along with a bottle of Arpege or any other accessory by Lanvin. However as a standalone it might not give the anticipated indepth information a reader would be looking for. The tableaus selected for the book are nicely choosen, providing an overview on the variety of Jeanne Lanvin's work and are in compliance to the text. All in all it is an adequate introduction to Jeanne Lanvin as a person and couturier
