Sound on a budget......., November 11, 2010

Installed two sets of these in a 02 Silverado 2500HD Crew cab. with a Alpine CDA105 HU no amp, and these things kick, great sound and clarity. The tweets are nice because they give you several options for mounting including flush, raised, and vertical. The tweets also swivel giving you exceptional sound focus. The 5.25" woofers are well built for the price. Not sure the Watt rating is accurate but they do handle 45RMS with no distortion. What more can you ask for from a 5.25" component set that's under $80USD shipped.
The only CON I can think of at this time is the hardware they give you is a bit flimsy, mainly the pinch nuts for mounting. other than that I'd say you really can't go wrong with these little guys. After my experience with the quality of these Lanzar is on the top of my list for sub's and an amplifier.
Don't listen to the guys who swear by big name brands, usually they're the one's bumping in the driveway because they can't afford gas after the cost of their systems....

I accidentally blew a couple 4x6 speakers in my doors when i installed my system. I chose this product because I heard component speakers sound better and the component speakers could handle the power the amp puts out. The speakers sound really nice and the high notes are real crisp. The only issue is that I needed a bass blocker to stop the rattling. The install was pretty easy; the woofer fit into the speaker hole and I mounted the tweeter surface mount to the door metal because I didn't want to drill into the door panel. Mounting gear that came with the speaker wasn't very good so I would recommend sheet metal screws. About a year later I heard a scratch sound form the left front speaker. Upon closer examination, I noticed a crack in the cone. I fixed it with superglue and have not had a problem since. I think I put too much power to the speakers and that is why one cracked, but would still reccomend the item

Gr8 sound gr8 price gr8 quality for ur buck u can not go wrong with optidrive sound systems just one problem I had was the crossovers are junk I can't get them to work no matter what I do that's why this system has a 4 star instead of a 5
