Best bang for your buck if you have the power to push these things, they scream none the less they may be a little harsh for some but i liked how they sound at this price they went above and beyond what i even expected.

I purchased these based on some positive reviews and the appearance of quality construction. The sound quality is quite good and almost never harsh. If anything they are slightly subdued in the midrange and a tad light on the highs, but the low end is punchy for a 6.5" woofer. By comparison the MB Quart PVL-216 that I just bought have brighter and more articulate highs but aren't quite as strong on the low end (but still good). Considering that the Quarts are almost double the price of the Lanzars, I think the Lanzars are a good buy. The quality of construction is a bit heavier than the Quarts and it's apparent that they should handle some serious power. Thus far I have only listened to them in the house on a Sony 100W/ch home receiver with a DCM 12" powered subwoofer at moderate sound levels, and once I get them installed in the boat (by April) and hooked up, I'll provide additional feedback. When you consider how well these are built and the quality materials used, it's a wonder they can be had for less than 80 bucks. As a reference I listen primarily to 70s & 80s rock & pop and a bit of hard rock/metal and jazz thrown in.

This is a nice sounding pair of comps, they perform great in delivering quality sound. If you're looking for a low cost set as an upgrade or even to temporarily replace some high-end units you might have destroyed, take the leap you won't be disappointed...you might want to replace the "hi-end" units with these permanantly.

Installed in the rear doors of my Ford Fusion(2009)with a little modification,really helped clean up the sound in the rear seat area over the factory speakers as one can imagine! Very clear highs, but can be a bit(TO maybe alot)harsh, but a parametric EQ with a bandwith adjustment on it simply solved that! I have about 100watts rms going to them and the midbass sounds nice and clean and tight, I cranked them as loud as can go (even though they were distorting)just to see what gave, and the tweeters went into protection!(a plus)I tried this about 3to4 times and every time it saved the tweeters. So in closing.....best bang definately for the buck. Hope this helps potential buyers???
