The worst!,
By Connie Ott "Connie Ott" (renton, wa) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Computer Lap Desk, Black (Personal Computers)
I purchased this over a year ago. When I first received it I was concerned about the lack of "stuffing" in the wrist support area. It appears to use some kind of sand or silica. As time went on, more and more of the filling has disappeared until now there's no comfort to be found. There's no hole, it appears to be escaping through the fabric or is breaking down inside. It also offers NO COOLING whatsoever. I had to invest in a notebook cooler.
Worst of the worst!

Economy lapdesk--many pluses & a minus,

I bought this model to suit my budget. I was also hoping for reasonable comfort and convenience since I use my computer 12-20 hours per day. For the price, the quality is acceptable. That's why I awarded it 3 stars rather than 2. It is lightweight and thin. The plastic can be made to flex slightly. For me, this is not problematic when it's on my lap holding a very lightweight or a heavier computer or a textbook. It does have thin, smooth, cushiony, mouse pads for left- or right-handers, which double as anti-slip pads. The padding on the lapdesk underside is not full or firm; but it is adequate and not uncomfortable. There is not a lot of space on the underside for air flow, but I have not been extremely bothered by heat issues. It has no cooling features. The only real complaint I have about this lapdesk is that what I hoped would be a wrist guard is absolutely useless as a wristguard. The manufacturer skimped on on the filling, so it provides no ergonomic support for the wrist. (The filling is soft, almost like tiny bits of shredded paper, doesn't feel like microbeads, isn't gel, isn't rice or wheat hulls). So either add your own gel wristguard (which I am now looking for on Amazon), plan on eventual carpal tunnel problems (no small matter), or use it with an ergonomic mouse. Speaking of mouse, I don't usually use one often, but my large ergonomic mouse fits easily beside my 11-inch laptop and adequately with my 13-inch laptop. There are also shallow trays at the top for pens, pencils, gum, narrow objects.
