The Futura Laptop Desk is our most stylish unit with its fashion-forward design. This unit is extremely efficient at reducing heat build-up in notebooks but it also improves your body posture and ergonomics. The Futura is a dual-purpose product that's a portable lap desk that completely spans your lap and is an ergonomic desktop typing stand. It inclines your notebook's keyboard up to 3-3/4" closer to eye level with five incline positions. On your lap, the 21" long lap span allows your legs to relax naturally. No-slip rubber pads on the top and bottom to grip your clothes and the notebook. The Futura Laptop Desk acts like a barrier between the notebook's heat source and your lap. The Futura folds in half and has five ergonomic incline typing positions to choose. The ventilation slots designed into the Futura allows cool air to rush in and reduce heat build-up. A team of engineering professors from California Polytechnic University, Pomona, California, concluded that the Futura reduces the heat build-up in notebook by up to 20%. The Futura Laptop Desk is made form High Impact ABS material and with its set of heavy duty flexing hinges will last without fail. The Futura's color is gun metal gray and opened flat measures 21" long by 11" wide by 3/8" thick. Folded in half the Futura measures 11" by 10-3/4" by 1/2" thick and weighs 1 lb 3 oz. or a total of 19 ounces. The Futura has a companion accessory called the MouzPad. It's a 6" x 9" snap-on, snap-off extended mousing surface that adds an extra 3" to the units overall length.

WHAT A RIP OFF! A nice idea and it does what they say, but, within a week the clips to make it a desk top stand broke off. I contacted Lapworks several times and no response. They also sent me a customer satisfaction email and I let them know my issue and no response. I continued to use the product as a desk top but used a book to create the desktop angle and now the entire unit has cracked in two halves. Lousy construction and a company that does not support their product. DON'T BUY!

I love my Futura. I work from home, the couch actually and use the Futura everyday. With the Futura, I never have to worry about my laptop getting too hot and I have space for a cup of coffee and an external mouse while working from my lap.

This is simply a great product!

Purchased this as a gift for my husband who travels a lot for business. He constantly tells me how much he likes this product. He says this is the best gift that he's received and highly recommends it for anyone considering purchasing it. He has put it to great use while travling by plane, as a passenger in vehicles and even from his bed while home on sick days. It is lightweight and easily folds to fit into a computer bag. This is a great buy.
