The AC adapter works as advertised with my Sony Vaio laptop, very inexpensive, so much so that I bought two, just in case, haven't needed to use the back up though.

I bought this adaptor to replace the original Vaio adaptor which died after some time and it has worked just fine. No problems so far, been using it for two months and it works great. And at a fraction of the price for the original replacement part it is a great bargain.
