FIRST OF ALL I AM NOT THE TYPE PERSON TO REVIEW ANY PRODUCT UNLESS I AM EXTREMELY ENTHUSED ABOUT IT...WELL OBVIOUSLY I AM WITH THIS ONE...I CHECKED OUT ALOT OF SIMILAR PRODUCTS, I DECIDED ON THIS ONE CAUSE IT HAS THE 2 FANS..WHEN I FIRST RECEIVED THIS I PLUGGED IT IN AND TURNED IT ON AND RIGHT AWAY I STARTING GETTING ANGRY..I STARTED YELLING AT IT, THAT OF COURSE IT DOES NOT WORK, (CAUSE IN MY WORLD ALMOST EVERYTHING I GET IN THE MAIL IS EITHER BROKEN OR DOES NOT WORK),SO AS I WAS GETIING MORE AND MORE ANGRY, I REALIZED THAT THE FANS WERE ON AND WORKING, I JUST COULD NOT HEAR THEM CAUSE THEY ARE SO QUIET...THAT WAS A LITTLE EMBARASSING...I WAS SHOCKED...U ABSOLUTELY CANNOT HEAR THE FANS RUNNING...IT IS ALSO VERY COMFORTABLE CAUSE THERE ARE ABOUT 8 HEIGHT ADJUSTMENTS...IT ALSO SWINGS AROUND AND HAS 4 XTRA USB PORTS...I READ ALOT OF REVIEWS ON MANY OF THESE THYPE OF PRODUCTS AND THE COMPLAINTS WERE NOISE, BEING UNCOMFORTABLE AND NOT KEEPING THE LAPTOP COOL...THIS KEEPS THE LAPTOP XTREMELY COOL...I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT AND WANTED TO WRITE THIS TO LET OTHER PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT IT, CAUSE REVIEWS ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO READ...I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS ONE....LOVE IT...

I thought the stand would be universal, but my laptop tends to slide around on it when I'm using it and it hasn't proved that it's worth the bother and the hassle.

This item is pretty nice for the price, but it's still rather thin and cheap. The thin plastic construction doesn't seem like it will stand up to the test of time. It does sort of fit a 17" laptop, but the little tabs that hold the computer aren't tall enough or thick enough to give me any security that my laptop won't slide off the stand. The fan seems rather cheap, but so far works great. I just wish it were a a little quieter; however, it isn't horribly loud either. I tried my wife's 14" laptop and it actually fits the stand a lot better. I think I would recommend this stand if you have a small laptop and don't need a completely quiet fan. The price sure beats anything else out there, but you still are getting what you pay for.

This laptop cooler is just about as simple and cheap as they come in such a device. There are many choices with a lot fancier layouts and movable coolers that are more expensive of course. But if you are on a tight budget, or just feel that you are only in need of a basic model for such a simple operation, than this economy model I feel is a solid choice. And as it turns out, its being rather cheaply made has an advantage to it in my opinion.

This cooler can be set up and operating in a matter of a couple of minutes. Your laptop (LP) sits on top of the face plate, or rack and a USB cable connects to your LP for power. (If your LP didn't come with or have rubber feet to prevent slipping, buy some of those stick on kind). The two fans operate very quietly indeed, but are stationary. (The higher priced coolers have movable fans). You can turn both or either of them off at your pleasure. A picture frame type stake in the back allows for several tilting positions, or remaining just flat. The actual cooling ability of this elementary system is excellent. Despite the fact that the two fans cannot be arranged as to your liking, they still do a very efficient job at providing a lot of cooling to remove the heat underneath your LP. It makes for a far more comfortable experience when using it, and can't help but be good for the circuitry of your computer. Even if you do not choose this entry level system, I suggest you buy some kind of cooler for your LP. After using one for just a little while, you will wonder how you ever got along so well without it.

This model is made of a simple cheap plastic, not metal. Some of the other reviewers here have called it disappointing and flimsy. But after many hours of use of it I have come to the conclusion that I like it being made of plastic better. Using this cooler on your LPs battery will cut your portable time by about half. If you use your LP on battery a lot and like the feel of the cooler, you will find yourself being selective as to how much you run the fans. Turning them off on this cooler and leaving it under your unit will result in very little heat being transferred to the plastic. Thus you will not notice much in the way of any change in the heat on your lap. However turn off the fans on a metal cooler, and you are allowing the full effect of all the heat being conducted by the metal. Under similar circumstances you will find yourself removing a metal cooler every time you decide to turn it off. The end result is the cheap plastic actually has an advantage in this scenario. Just something to think about if you believe you may be using this cooler under battery power a lot.

This is a decent, very reasonably priced laptop cooler that will do the job nicely without any higher priced bells and whistles at your command. I like mine and recommend it...

First of all I want you to know I had very specific things I was looking for in a laptop cooler/stand. I needed it to work on my lap or the bed as well as a table, and be comfortable if it was on my lap. Second, I didn't want any flimsy fold away parts that could break off with normal use and moving from place to place like my last on did. Also the fan needed to be efficient at cooling without making a tremendous racket. And finally I didn't want it to cost a fortune.
Well, I have to say that I found exactly what I was looking for. This cooler stand is great. It sits comfotably when on my lap. The cooler fans are soft and quiet unless you are so sensitive as to need absolute silence. They create quite a wind under the laptop since there is an elevated area with plenty of room for air flow. Then just as an extra bonus there is a usb hub in the back with 4 usb ports. And all this for just under $15.00. I'd have to say this is pretty much perfect in my book. It is made of plastic but it is sturdy enough for general use so far. I am very pleased and if you are looking for what I was looking for, you will be too.

This is definitely well worth the money! The only thing I can think of that is a problem is if you have a bigger laptop it slides off slightly. I have a 17" HP notebook and it slightly lifts up at the bottom because of the weight, but still holds my laptop up. I have a separate keyboard and mouse that I use with it so my laptop isn't being moved much, and it stays fairly steady unless bumped. If you have a smaller laptop this probably won't be a problem. The fan is really quiet and still gets the job done. I turned it on I thought it wasn't working, but then I put my hand up to it and I could feel it was working just fine. This product is worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone.

Bought this product while I was recovering from foot surgery. It works just great for my Dell Inspiron Laptop. I highly recommend it!!!!!!!!!!

I've owned this for only a few weeks. I bought it because I like the idea of two fans, and that is is adjustable. It may be a great stand for others. Mine began to make a horrible noise everytime I start my Laptop, soon after I recieved it(couple of weeks) So, I am returning it, and buying a different brand. It may have just been bad luck on this one item. I'll never know because I am afraid to buy another one. I see there are great reviews and read them before I bought it. I wish my experience had been so great. I gave it three stars because I like the two fans,the different levels at which you can set it and allowing for the fact that I may have just gotten a lemon.

After a few days, the pad (I assume it is really the fans in it) begun making a strange, and relatively very loud, noise. It always does that when first plugged into power, although after several minutes, it calms down and the noise disappears. So I have not tried to return it (as it is bearable when the noise lasts only some time after plugging in). Otherwise I am quite happy with the item, but I am worried and wondering if this will be getting worse. It is now about a month since I purchased this item, so I guess we will see how it goes later on...

THIS IS A GOOD AND THIS IS A BAD PRODUCT. I HAVE A 16 INCH MONITOR AND THE BOTTOM STANDS THAT HOLD THE MONITOR IN PLACE ARE TOO SMALL. I HAD TO FABRICATE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR IT. AS FAR AS THE REAR PORTS, ONE WENT BAD THE OTHERS ARE STILL GOOD. THE FAN WORK VERY WELL TO KEEP THE MONITOR COOL, AND THE ANGLE BRACKET KEEPS THE MONITOR PLACED CORRECTLY.
