Great battery life again!,
By J Lee 417 (CALIFORNIA, CA, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Laptop Battery for Dell XPS M1330 1330, PN: 312-0567, 312-0566, PU563, TT485 (9 Cell) (Electronics)
I bought this to replace my 1.5 year old 9-Cell XPS M1330 batteries. At first, I did some research to compare this battery with the ones sold by Dell. There wasn't much information on the internet regarding DekCell batteries. DekCell is a battery manufacturer based in northern California near San Jose. I decided to try these out because the price was within my budget; these were $80+shipping while Dell sells their 9-cell for $180+tax+shipping.Performance: This DekCell battery is as good as the Dell-Branded ones made by Sanyo Corporation. I get roughly 4.5-5 hours out of it with WiFi on, screen dimmed, and moderate web-surfing. I am dual-booting Windows 7 RC 7100 and Windows Vista. I get about 20-35 minutes more with Windows 7. I think the new Operating System is much more efficient with managing windows resources compared to the bloated Vista. Cons: The only small problem with the battery I got is that the light indicator on the bottom is dysfunctional. I have to press very hard to get a read on the battery life. It only shows 3/5 lights regardless of how much i charge the battery...I don't really mind because I can clearly see the battery life in my Windows Taskbar. -------- I hope this review helps someone that's deciding on buying replacement batteries. Dell batteries are clearly overpriced.

Mine was defective. Wouldn't charge all the way and after a second try started messing with the power supply to the whole computer when it was plugged in, which could easily do a lot of damage to my precious laptop. Returning for a full refund. Props to Amazon customer service though. Return is easy and prime shipping got it to me fast.

So when I first ordered 2 of these both of them were bad. Neither would charge the company set me up for 2 replacements. They worked fine for awhile then stopped charging. I was still with in warranty and I contacted the seller to get the bad one replaced and it took 1 entire week (7 days) from my first e-mail to contact me with generic troubleshooting which i was aware of from the first set that were bad out of box so i sent it back with the RMA they provided. Verfied they got it via the tracking number. 2 days later i e-mailed about my replacemend. by this point im at the 5th e-mail and it's been over a week since it was recieved and no response no replacement. All I want is a working battery returned or a response or where my replacement is but I can't even get that. This is the last time I order anything from them. Take my advise, don't order from power direct.
