After my cat decided to use my laptop (Compaq V6000) as his own "hot spot"... and then proceeded to take several keys with him when I picked him up; I needed a replacement. This keyboard was a perfect fit.

Now then, if you're wondering about how much fun this is to install, I'd say plenty. If you're good at marking down where every screw came from and can feel around for anything you missed (easy to do) without getting frustrated and just yanking, you'll do fine. Otherwise, buy this keyboard and take it to a repair shop, you'll probably save quite a bit on the repair if you already have the part (I've worked for repair shops and they usually like to mark everything up a little). It took me maybe half-an-hour to pop the old one out and get the new one in. Worked perfectly first try, no complaints at all!

This is a great replacement keyboard. Fit's perfect, easy to install and works perfectly. Has a nice plastic covering on the back I'm assuming helps it resist light spills and dust. It does not come with any instructions, so if you're new to this and have no idea what you're doing you should get some instructions printed up online before you go ripping apart your laptop. It's an extremely easy swap for most people.

This company who sent it to my address should think twice when packing. This keyboard arrived half twisted. It took me a while and lot of BAD words to make it usable.

This keyboard is really great! The shipping was fast, only 2 days. The only downside to this keyboard is that it doesn't fit exactly with a Compaq Presario V6000. It sticks up a little bit on the top, not enough to decrease in performance of typing. Overall the keyboard works great. I am using it right now to type this review. Haven't had any problems installing. The ribbon cable was long enough for the laptop! Would recommend to any friend who needed a new keyboard.

This is great. Old keyboard was missing 10 keys and I bought this. It fits perfectly and I am verry happy with item and seller!

I have been having problems with the original keyboard since the day i got it. Finally, my daughter spilled ginger ale on it and finished it off. This replacement keyboard was a snap to replace and I cant believe how inexpensive and easy to replace it was. I found a youtube video that walked me through the process. i bought a new battery at the same time and my HP Pavillion is like new. Wish I would have done this 2 years ago.

Bottom line is this item actually fits correctly, works properly, and is mega cheap. No reason to not get this item if your keyboard is failing you.

I purchase this keyboard a few weeks ago because milk was spilled on my original keyboard. After searching for the right keyboard, I knew this one was a great choice, especially since there was a solid 5-star rating.

This keyboard it identical in every way to the original keyboard on my HP Pavilion dv6000. It was so easy to install. If you go to youtube, there are several easy six or seven minute tutorials that will help guide you through the installation process.

It's been a few weeks now and I have absolutely no complains. Buy this keyboard if you are looking. This is THE right one for you.

Great product! Install was a bit tricky but that is all HP. I recommend you purchase this product if your keyboard has gone out. Nice cheap price but great product.
