I got my portable laptop desk from The Value Emporium's warehouse in Tustin. I have been using it for a week now.. and I must say.. that I am happy so far that it works as advertised. Plastics and other material used are good in quality and the desk can hold my 17 inch hp envy which weighs in at 7 pounds with ease.
Pros:
Works as advertised.
Good quality.
Ideal only for 2 positions: a) when you are completely laid back in bed b) you are partially laid-back on your bed, supported by pillows.
Light-weight and hence portable.
Cons:
The board on which you place your laptop is always tilted and not adjustable, which means, you will never be able to get a 180 Degree flat angle with it, so if you are in a chair, or sitting on the floor, there is no way you are using laptop-laidback.
You will never get a 180 Degree flat angle for your laptop, which means, you might want to consider using a usb keyboard (I do this) for better ergonomics.
Overall, this product is less ideal for laptop-activity that involves a lot of typing / interaction when you are laid-back, and more suited for laptop-activity that involves very less interaction (watching a movie or something) when you are laid-back. I wish they had more angles like LapDawg does. It almost seems like nothing can be perfect (LapDawg has more angles, but is a flimsy product, Laptop laid-back is a solid product, but it should have been much better for the 100usd price tag)
