I can't say enough about how much we love Laptop Lunch boxes! We bought the complete Bento system 2.0 back in September of 2009 for our then 4 year old daughter who had started all day preschool. She has been using the set ever since and is now in second grade. I will admit I was nervous about her being able to open the outer case and the inner containers, but we practiced opening the outer case at home and within a week or two she had no problems whatsoever. As for the inner containers, there have always been adult helpers to open the containers if she needed help. It has never been a problem and of course now she can open them herself.

I LOVE packing my daughter's lunch with this set. It makes it so easy to plan out her lunch and to keep it healthy. I almost never have to buy plastic zip bags, which is awesome and such a money saver! And when I send her with a cloth napkin there is absolutely nothing for her to throw away. From the beginning I've told her that if she doesn't finish something to just bring it back home, and that has been great because I can see what she's eating and adjust my packing if needed (for example sometimes I send way more grapes or carrots than she can really eat and I'm able to adjust based on what comes back home).

Not only do I love this set, but my daughter loves it too. She never wants to buy lunch at school, she loves taking her lunch in her Laptop Lunch box. And her classmates have always admired her lunch box, saying it's "so neat"!

My 3 year old son just started preschool and eats lunch there once a week. Of course I sent him with the Laptop Lunch Box. The teachers help all of the kids open any containers so that's not a problem.

Perfect for work lunches. Especially fun while I'm on Weight Watchers. Easy to clean in dishwasher and love that the individual food containers have cup measurements.

I've been using my Laptop Lunches lunchbox every day for a week. I was surprised when it arrived that only two of the four containers have lids (it arrives exactly as it appears in the picture), but actually the lid of the lunchbox is tight enough that I've had no problems with any spills. I often put soup or other liquids in the containers with lids and have had no leaks.

Several reviews complain about the lid being hard to open. It took me a couple tries at first, but then it was fine, and by the third time I opened the lunchbox, I had it down pat. Any adult will be fine with it; it's really not anything crazy. I cannot speak for the children.

The portion sizes are great - I have a pretty big appetite, and when I fill even three out of four containers to capacity, I feel full (or at least know that my desire to eat food is not due to an empty stomach!). I got mine with an insulation pack on the Laptop Lunches website, and the pack keeps everything very cool for the five hours between leaving the house and lunchtime. It also comes with lunchbox-sized silverware, which you need because my silverware is much too long to fit in there. I do wish it came with a knife.

My biggest complaint is that the lunchbox is not tall enough to fit an apple or a peach. I made a very small apple fit once, but other days I have had to slice it up and divide it between two separate containers.

I debated several different lunchboxes before buying, and I'm very happy with my purchase. I have been recommending it to friends already.

I purchased two laptop lunches systems- one for myself and one for my 2nd grader. I was worried that my preschooler (age 4) would have trouble opening the box and smaller containers by herself so I didn't order one for her. When the systems arrived in the mail we had a "practice" night to make sure my 2nd grader could open his lunch containers quickly and easily. My 4 year old watched me doing it and said "No mom, do it like THIS!" and proceeded to open all the containers by herself! She is now using the Laptop Lunches system I purchased for myself and I will be ordering a new set!

My favorite part about Laptop Lunches is that I can re-arrange the boxes inside the larger container in order to accommodate different lunches. The colors are bright and fun and make lunchtime just a little bit more special- it even makes packing lunches more fun! Laptop Lunches also offers "bento buddies" so that you can have a back-up set of inserts or replacements if you ever lose a lid or container from your original set- making them a great investment!

I would reccommend practicing opening the containers with younger children before they take the lunch box to school, but other than that- our Laptop Lunches systems have been a joy to use! Built-in portion control is a plus and the bright colors make our healthy and nutritious foods/produce look even more delicious!

I purchased this product when my son started kindergarten. I am not sure if it's a previous version but it looks identical to the picture here. He is still using it in 6th grade! My younger child has had hers for almost as long. Yes, they've held up, and the hinges have not cracked. It takes a little practice for a younger child to open but they quickly get the hang of it. We use the insulated carrying case too (I think it's a separate purchase), which fits an ice pack, has pockets for a napkin, and a handle and strap. A small Sigg water bottle fits in the carrying case too. The slim shape means the whole thing can be shoved in my son's overstuffed backpack. The cups go in the dishwasher each night and I wipe down the case with a rag now and then. The case holds utensils if need be, or a cheese stick. I've never used the lids, because mine didn't stay on that well and I just don't ever put wet stuff in their lunches. I don't trust any lids! I put in a sandwich, some kind of dry cracker/pretzels/chips, and a fruit. Sometimes I put foil over the fruit container. Otherwise the main lid/case holds it all in. So maybe they seem pricey, but mine were well worth it because they've lasted so long.
