Originally hailing from the English city of Manchester, David began his video game career in 1995, writing for numerous classic British gaming magazines from a rusting, condemned, dry-docked German fishing trawler floating on the River Thames. Fleeing the United Kingdom, he joined the crew at the part-fraternity, part-sanitarium known as GameFan magazine. David helped launch GameFan Books and form Gamers' Republic, and was partly responsible for the wildly unsuccessful incite Video Gaming and Gamers.com. He wrote his first guide in 1996, but began authoring guides for Prima in 2000. He has written over 70 guides including: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess; Assassin's Creed; Half-Life: Orange Box; Mario Kart Wii; Halo 3: ODST; and Fallout 3. He lives in the woods of the Pacific Northwest, with his wife and an eight-foot statue of Great Cthulhu.

I haven't found this game guide all that useful. I was hoping it would give details on operating the controls during some of the more difficult tricks, but it doesn't. It just says stuff like "wall walk to the other side and jump backwards onto the ledge." I can figure that out on my own. My issue is getting her to do what I want when the camera angle changes in the middle. The game guide doesn't address these types of issues at all.

If you are looking for help solving the puzzles this guide is fine. If you are looking for help managing the controls or looking for details about performing the various required stunts, this book won't help.

A necessary tool for playing Laura Croft, but it often omits pictures necessary to explain complex procedures. It also often (but not always) takes you through the most difficult route. It is a useful guide that I use in conjunction with 2 other online guides.

Excellent guide for those who wish to find ALL of the hidden treasures, and of course the med-packs.
